Have you ever recorded yourself doing a presentation? No never? That's the same as all the participants in my workshop. Diaorang pun sama None of them has ever seen themselves in action. So they dont know how they are on stage. They dont know what they sound like. Whether their voice has enough variation or just flat and monotonous. They don’t know if they have any filler words They don't know if they have any funny body movements on stage. Whether they look friendly or fierce on stage If you dont know what you are doing now then how can you even start improving? Macam mana nak diperbetulkan? So in my training all of them received feedback from me on what to improve I also asked them to record themselves to see how they look like when they are presenting Only when you know what you are doing now can you make changes to be more better in the future Doktor Az 🩺 #morebetter #presentation p/s have you recorded yourself before?
In my line of job, we make commentary during video recording for subsea inspection. Something like football commentary but very technical. Many of us just don't like to listen to our own voice recording. It sounds cringey 🤣 So yeah never record my own presentation because of this 🤣
Dr Azhar Ahmad 🩺 Malu-lah 🙈👻
I said the word “so” 15 TIMES in 1 slide!! That’s crazy 🤣 But after purposefully telling myself not to do that, I managed to cut down to 5 times in presenting the same content.
But but but... when I can get team #Choobub to do it for me, lagi ok kan, Dr Azhar Ahmad 🩺?
Recording yourself is a game-changer for improving presentation skills. Seeing and hearing yourself helps pinpoint areas for growth. How have participants reacted to seeing themselves for the first time? Dr Azhar Ahmad 🩺
I did that when i was working. Almost every presentation. I could notice all the flaws which i have been doing subconsciously, and for the next presentation try to avoid it.
Yes, a great technique I have used often. Always is powerful and works. Thanks Dr Azhar Ahmad 🩺for the reminder.
Dr Azhar Ahmad 🩺 my trainer recorded my presentation and commented. The comment session was the hardest😬but that's how it's done.
Dr Azhar Ahmad 🩺 I agree we should record ourselves so we can make improvements in our presentations but sometimes, when I know the video is recording, I tend to be more careful in the delivery. Jadi kaku kadang2. Haha.
