Reserve Component service members mobilized from FY 2019 through FY 2021 generally received sufficient dwell time – the amount of time service members spend at their home station between mobilizations – in accordance with DoD policies. However, five of the six Reserve Components could not consistently provide documentation demonstrating that service members consented to mobilization while in their dwell period because the Reserve Components either did not have a process for obtaining and maintaining dwell waivers or did not follow the established process for obtaining and maintaining dwell waivers. Proper oversight of the mobilization‑to‑dwell process should ensure that service members are not repeatedly exposed to combat and that they do not experience disproportionate deployments. In a recent report by the Government Accountability Office, alarming (but obvious) statistics have surfaced regarding the state of the Defense Department's infrastructure. With nearly 30% of its 550,000 structures surpassing their lifespans and a staggering $137 billion deferred maintenance backlog, it's evident that urgent action is needed. If you’ve served in the military, regardless of branch, you know what I’m referring too. Despite the critical role these structures play in our national defense, funding allocations consistently fall short of what's necessary for upkeep. Improve Group is addressing this pressing issue head-on, advocating for the resources and attention needed to ensure the safety and efficiency of our defense infrastructure. #ImproveGroup #DefenseInfrastructure #NationalSecurity #InfrastructureInvestment #Funding #IFKYK

In today’s highly interconnected world, Global Positioning System (GPS) technology plays a pivotal role in both our daily lives and critical infrastructure. From navigating our morning commutes to coordinating military operations, GPS is a silent workhorse we often take for granted. However, this reliance brings with it a significant vulnerability: the threat of GPS spoofing. GPS spoofing can be executed with relatively low-cost equipment and technical know-how. A spoofer generates false GPS signals with higher power than the authentic ones, thereby overpowering the legitimate signals. This makes it a relatively accessible form of cyberattack. In the decade out to 2034, Australia will spend 4 percent of a whopping $765 billion defence budget—more than $30 billion—on hardening and upgrading northern bases. Projecting force and assistance into the region north of Australia and sustaining wartime operations are the clear explanation for why we need robust northern bases. https://hubs.li/Q02wTChc0 #dna #developingnorthernaustralia #northernaustralia

How is the VA going to Say their numbers in Veteran Suicide are only 22 a day? How is the DoD not reporting up to Date Reports on their submittals? I posted the VA Report which was last done in 2010. This is the Most Current GAO Up to Date Report. Someone needs to inform them that the Active Duty Suicide Reported by the DOD in Quarterly for FY 2023 was only showing 2019 at most. The Numbers are So off between the DOD reporting and the VA. This is Not okay. Accuracy of numbers will give a TRUE Control number with Studies and Reporting THEN we can research the Variables depending on what it is exactly that will Help Veterans and Soldiers.
