This is the most fascinating story of friendships, journeys, scotland, whisky and writing something for the history books by visting the far corners of scotland and creating an unforgettable experience for the world and for a handful of whisky aficinados out there; 50 to be precise. Edrington, the ówners of the Macallan brand don't have a whisky brand called Edrington. This however is referred to as "Edrington-journeys blend", thereby adding another unique dimension to the historic significance of these bottles. It's Fieldays week! If you can squeeze in the time, then I encourage you all to visit. I have a deep connection (past Board member, Innovations judge - and more...). But regardless of the past, I get such a kick out visiting each year. First, seeing this years' innovations - the gift that keeps growing (puns always intended). Clever people and technology adding value to NZInc. As a patent attorney it is particularly gratifying to see the commercial version of what you first came across as a raw concept, and as an IP strategist, it is such a pleasure to see how inventors and companies position themselves. Next, I am reminded how we are all interconnected in the Agritech space and how it underpins NZ's economic fabric. We all depend upon and support each other. Last - mussel fritters! Why It Matters

It is only quarter two of 2024, yet we are delighted to announce our second major Award success. At the recent 'London Spirits Competition', Carpathian Single Malt Whisky’s Madeira expression took a ‘Gold’ medal, whilst ‘Silver’ medals were awarded to our Feteasca Neagra, Vradiano, Ruby Port, Burgundy, Cognac, Amarone, Commandaria and Peated Cask Strength expressions. The multi-disciplinary judging panel made up of 40-members, analysed entries on the basis of Quality, Value-for-Money & Appearance and so we are very proud that so many of our expressions were selected. Dr Nawaf Salameh, Founding Chairman, Alexandrion Group said: “The London Spirits Competition holds much importance for us, firstly, in terms of the diversity of the judging panel, pulling together many leading figures in the spirits industry from varying backgrounds. And secondly, London and the UK is a key market for Carpathian Single Malt Whisky and the Alexandrion Group as a whole.
