Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance, a time to honour those lost to anti-transgender violence and to reflect on how we can create safer, more supportive workplaces for transgender colleagues. 🏳️⚧️ While some progress has been made, transgender people still encounter significant barriers at work, from hiring discrimination to lack of basic support, and even hostility on the job. Creating an inclusive workplace goes beyond policies - it includes respect in everyday interactions, accessible facilities, and active allyship. Even small steps can make a meaningful difference. #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance #DiversityandInclusion #InclusiveWorkspaces #LGBTQAtWork

Today is an opportunity for businesses and communities to reflect on how we can foster more inclusive, supportive environments. It’s not just about remembering—it’s about advocating for meaningful change. We can all play a role in ensuring that transgender individuals feel safe, valued, and respected both in our workplaces and in society. Let’s take this day to honor those lost and recommit ourselves to making the world safer for all transgender people. #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance #TDOR #TransLivesMatter #InclusiveWorkplace #EndTransphobia

Today is the #TransgenderDayOfRemembrance, an annual observance that honors the memory of the transgender people who have lost their lives because of transphobia and calls attention to the continued violence that transgender people endure simply for being themselves. Transgender people suffer higher rates of violence than non-transgender people due to societal stigma, discrimination, and misperceptions about what it means to be transgender. We must continue working to make a safer, more equitable, and just world for transgender and gender nonconforming people, who simply want the same things we all want: to live in peace and safety, provide for their families, spend time with people they love, and do activities they enjoy. Today, on Transgender Day of Remembrance, we honor the lives lost to anti-transgender violence and reflect on the importance of inclusion and respect for all individuals. This day serves as a powerful reminder that our actions—both as individuals and as organizations—have a profound impact on creating safe, welcoming spaces for everyone. In our companies and our communities, the way we treat others matters. Inclusivity isn’t just a policy or a checkbox—it’s a commitment to understanding, empathy, and respect. It’s about amplifying voices, valuing diverse experiences, and ensuring that everyone has the freedom to be their authentic selves without fear or discrimination. Let’s take today to not only remember but also to recommit. Recommit to fostering environments where all people, regardless of their gender identity, feel seen, valued, and supported. Together, we have the power to build workplaces and communities that champion equality and kindness. #TransDayOfRemembrance #InclusionMatters #RespectAndEmpathy

When is it OK to ask someone if they are transgender? Never. Someone's gender has no impact on anything that you should care about. You can (should) ask for a person's pronouns to address them appropriately, but their gender is not your business. #TransgenderAwarenessWeek #UnsolicitedAdvice #TransgenderAlly #TransAdvocate #ThursdayThoughts

Is ‘transgendered’ a term you still come across? 🤔 Let’s set the record straight: Identity isn’t something that happens to someone. Just like Bobby isn’t ‘autismed,’ he’s not ‘transgendered’ either—he is transgender. Wed, 13 Nov – Tue, 19 Nov is Transgender Awareness Week. I truly believe everyone should have freedom, respect and peace. Transphobic hate crimes have increased 186% in the last 5 years in England. I think this figure is absolutely disgusting. The week helps to increase understanding, awareness and educate the wider community about transgender and gender non-conforming people and the issues members of the community face. But more importantly, there's a list of things you can actively do all year round to be a better ally to your trans community. We're all human. We all deserve our human rights. We all deserve safety. We all deserve inclusion. We've come a long way with LGB inclusions, neurodiversity etc., and it's time we work together to come a lot further with Transgender awareness and support. Whether it's someone on the street, someone in the workplace, someone you see on TV, be mindful and be a better ally. #transgender #transgenderawareness

Today, let's highlight the barriers that keep the transgender, gender-nonconforming, and intersex (TGI) community marginalized in the fight for equal pay. 🌈💼 It's time to break down these barriers and create a world where everyone's work is valued and compensated equally. 💸✊ Let's ensure our TGI siblings' voices are heard and their rights are protected. Together, we can challenge stereotypes, dismantle discrimination, and pave the way for true equality. 💪🔓 Equal Rights Advocates, TransLatin@ Coalition, Institute for Women's Policy Research #PrideInYourPay #LGBTQIAEqualPay
