I loved getting to attend the grand opening of the FEED's Partner Market! This new program is based out of our distribution center in Oklahoma City where local partner organizations can shop for the products they need - whether that be food, cleaning items, hygiene, and even books. Did you know that 15% of people live below the poverty line right here in Oklahoma City? But for many children, the first day of school isn't anything to get excited about. For 25+ years, The Salvation Army has provided hundreds of local, at-risk children with clothing, school supplies, and a backpack to start the year off right. Our goal is to simply break down barriers to educational success. For some of these students, this is the one time during the year that they’ll receive something new. Last year, 825 kids participated in this program. We hope to raise the funds to serve even more this year! It costs $150 to send one child back to school with confidence. How many kids can you help?

This month, at Porter Novelli we made history with our first-ever global Jack and Bill Week of Service. All our offices worldwide united to make a significant #impact on our communities, from painting and cooking to beach clean-ups and packing food for food banks.
