In fintech, buyer personas tend to fit into two camps (I’m oversimplifying but work with me for a minute): the tech camp and the business camp. Conveying what the tech camp needs to know without alienating the business camp is THE hack you need to be implementing in your 2024 content marketing. There are a couple ways to do this. Start by focusing on the end result. Can your product or service save the company hours of frustrating work? Ease concerns about a security breach? Unlock a new level of growth? Then make the complex feel simple. For example, use case studies to tell a story of transformation, with relatable analogies to make the abstract tangible, and visuals that break down those complex concepts into bite-size pieces. In fintech, trust is everything. So, address any unspoken fears about security and compliance head-on. Don't shy away from them – being transparent builds confidence. At the end of the day, people buy a feeling of understanding just as much as they buy tech itself. Make everyone you're targeting feel smart, empowered, and excited about what you can do for them – then watch your product or service roll through tech, business, even procurement. What’s the easiest, most overlooked trick in the book if you’re looking to increase either traffic or conversions from your content? It’s re-optimisations. #contentundercompliance That means going back through the content you’ve already written, finding the gems and making a few tweaks to ensure that you can generate more readers or more sales. For traffic-focused tweaks: 1. Check which of your content is currently ranking in results 10-20 (the second page of Google) 2. Audit each of these pages for the following factors: note - most important is the human factor aka are you answering what the reader actually wants to know. Aka search intent match. Then check things like keyword matches, page speed, time on page, reader click-throughs. 3. Re-design the content piece based on this feedback. Ie. if this piece is top of the funnel and you aren’t answering the informational query within the first paragraph, you’ll see readers click off within a few seconds - there’s your fix. Alternatively, if you’ve got loads of clunky images that are causing a 6-second load time for your page, head to tinypng and compress those pixels (and take a wider look at your technical SEO). 🔥{FYI: there are loads of tools that can help with this type of thing to identify exactly what needs to change. I’m just spelling out a very manual and time consuming method to give the background}🔥 4. Re-publish with updated dates, authors and editors. Google loves it when companies are transparent about who writes their content - as long as it’s not chatGPT. Later on this week I’ll be going through how to re-optimise your current content to boost conversions. I worked with an SaaS client last year to do exactly this, and generated an 80X increase in $ attributed to the blog channel. So it’s not one you’ll want to miss! I’m Shannon, freelance content marketer for fintech, fraud and compliance-based businesses. I work with cybersecurity, regtech, payments and open banking firms to strategise, write and distribute compelling content that reaches and converts the reader.

One of the most overlooked area when creating landing pages, that severely impacts conversion rates especially for Fintech, is loading speed. Here are 4 reasons why.... First Impressions and User Trust: For services like loans, investment platforms, or insurance, users are sensitive to any signs of unreliability. A fast-loading page instills immediate trust, while a slow page may lead users to doubt the reliability and security of the service. Reduced Bounce Rate: Studies show that users leave a page if it doesn’t load within a few seconds. For high-intent financial users who are closer to making a decision, a delay might push them to abandon the page altogether, resulting in lost conversions. Even a one-second delay can reduce conversions by 7% or more. Higher Engagement and Retention: In financial services, where decision-making may involve reading through detailed content, a quick-loading page keeps the user engaged and reduces drop-offs. SEO and Organic Visibility: Page speed affects SEO rankings, and better visibility can increase high-intent traffic. Google prioritizes faster sites, especially on mobile. #landingpageoptimization #landingpagedesign #landingpage #fintech #digitalmarketing #fintechmarketing

One of the things I've struggled with a lot over the years is website design & messaging. How do you tell your story (sell your product, service, etc.) on your website? With the recent launch of the Couplr AI partnership with The American College of Financial Services we also relaunched the Couplr AI website. I know we hit the mark with the new design when an industry veteran I met with today told me we "nailed" our value proposition and clearly explained what problem we were solving, for who, and how we did it. Given I've been an advisor and fintech founder for some time and that we support loads of advisors, I wanted to share some tips that hopefully will help you get the most out of your website. ✅ Less is more. Keep your website design clean and simple. Lots of white space it OK. Don't have a ton of pages and make each page like a mini journey the user goes on. ✅ Take users on a clear journey by telling a story (Problem, Pain Points, Solution, Features, etc.) so they naturally progress from Problem to Your Solution and it all makes sense. ✅ Have a clear audience. Who is your ideal client/customer? Everything you say and illustrate on your website should be speaking to them. ✅ Use minimal CTAs. Does confuse people by giving them 10 things they could do. Give them 1-2 clear action items and tell them why they should Click, Subscribe, Request a Demo, etc. ❇ Bonus Tip - Your website will never be perfect! You'll constantly be tweaking it over time so don't get hung up on making it perfect, it never will be. Please check out our new website and let me know what you think of our new design! https://www.couplr.ai/ What's your top tip for getting to most out of your website? A big Thank You to Tian Nel, Outsourcery, and Marc R. Butler for your help in making the website look amazing! #websitedesign #fintech #financialadvisors
