Exciting Grant Alert! 🌟 We're thrilled to support the DeepVibe project led by Dr. Pulkit Grover from Carnegie Mellon University and Boyle Cheng from Allegheny Health Network. This innovative research aims to revolutionize TBI treatment by developing a minimally invasive technique called DeepVibe for steerable deep brain stimulation. Executive function impairments post-brain injuries are all too common, and current non-invasive stimulation methods often fall short due to inaccessible sites. 🧠 This project holds promise for making neurostimulation treatment more accessible to TBI patients. Stay tuned for updates on this groundbreaking research! 💡 #TBIResearch #DeepBrainStimulation #InnovationInMedicine

Women with highly flexible joints/collagen continue to be told in various ways their autonomic dysfunction is in their head. Collagen is critical to the structure of cells, vessels and heart muscle and are routinely remodeled based on load, including gravitational load. This 120 day study in 2021 on Russian cosmonauts showed changes in excreted urine collagen and changes in parasympathetic function measured by HRV parameters compared to men. “We understand that this is not enough to claim their significant impact on the mechanisms of autonomic regulation. However, correlations between these collagens and HRV scores characterizing a decrease in parasympathetic modulation were identified, confirming the activity dynamics of autonomic regulation mechanisms described above.” Simply, #collagenmatters There will be a day this is obvious. A metaphor for understanding confusing research why Long COVID and chronic autoimmune fatigue is more common in women. If you make a 1000 shirts out of collagen protein and study the breakdown of various seems (carotid body, vagus nerve, mitochondria, T cells, inflammation, cortisol etc.) you will find a problem you are looking to find. You could miss a bigger picture of a loss of global recovery capacity (impaired parasympathetic recovery measured by overnight HRV) affected by one’s collagen fabric. We need more fatigue-HRV-mitochondria-collagen studies. #autonomicrehabilitation #pots #dysautonomia #longcovid #fatigue

Exciting developments in Alzheimer's research highlight the power of sensory gamma rhythm stimulation at a 40 Hz frequency, showcasing a non-invasive method to influence brain health. A study from MIT's Picower Institute for Learning and Memory has discovered that light and sound at this specific frequency can encourage the brain's glymphatic system—a crucial waste clearance system parallel to the brain's blood vessels—to become more efficient in clearing amyloid proteins, which are associated with Alzheimer's disease. This pioneering approach taps into the brain's natural processes, offering a new perspective on potential interventions. Inspired by these findings, the CeraThrive headband utilizes light pulsed at the optimal 40 Hz gamma frequency. While directly linking this to medical benefits requires further research, the CERA headband represents an innovative step towards harnessing technology for brain health, aiming to offer a new experience based on cutting-edge neuroscience insights. #AlzheimersResearch #Neuroscience #Innovation #CERAHeadband #GammaRhythmStimulation #BrainHealth
