Working with My Wife: A Husband's Guide to Navigating the Office (and Home)👩❤️👨
Working with your spouse might sound like a recipe for non-stop work talk and “constructive feedback” at home, but I have to say – it’s been pretty great. 👩❤️👨
Here are my top tips (and a few hard-earned lessons) for anyone else brave enough to work alongside their other half:
Get Support from the Team When You Need It – We’ve found that by having a strong team at Clarity Wealth Limited we don’t always need to turn to each other for help. When one of us needs a hand, we can often lean on other team members, which gives us both space and keeps things balanced.
Try to Stick to “Work Talk” Hours – I’ll admit, this one’s a work in progress. But calling Chantal on my way home to “box off the day” helps us keep work out of the evening (mostly). Sure, it doesn’t always work, but it’s saved many a dinner conversation! 🍖
Recognise Each Other’s Strengths – Chantal’s great at everything I struggle with, and I’m...well, still figuring out what I’m better at! It’s a humbling experience, but it’s fantastic to have someone who just “gets” it when things are good or challenging. 😃 😭
Is it plain sailing? Not always. Is it for everyone? Probably not. But I never imagined we’d be working together! Would love to hear about any other tips from anyone else out there?.... ⛵

2moRecently came across an article which says if your employer says you're a part of our family. That employer is a red flag. So yes work is team and family is at home.
