There are 'classic' video production techniques that never go out of date. And one of my faves is slow motion to make the simplest of scenes look super special. How do we create the look of slow motion? In video production, the normal filmed speed is 25 frames per second. This means that each second of video contains 25 individual images. But - if we film at a higher frame rate of 50 frames per second, twice as many frames are captured. To create slow motion, we take this higher frame rate footage into the edit suite and play it back at half speed - this drops every second frame... ...and ta da! Slow motion. [This footage was filmed for a cinema commercial for Parker Hamilton, the Gold Coast's most advanced vision boutique.] #BehindTheScenes #CorporateVideoProduction #BrisbaneVideoProduction #CorporateStorytelling

Virtual Productions on The Volume The world of production is transforming, and virtual sets like "The Volume" are at the forefront of this exciting evolution! For those unfamiliar, "The Volume" is a massive LED stage that projects stunning, real-time 3D environments, creating incredibly realistic backdrops for film, TV, and commercial shoots. The best part? It’s not just for motion—The Volume offers an incredible opportunity to combine stills and motion in one seamless shoot, saving time and resources while maintaining creative consistency across both formats. So, why shoot on The Volume? The possibilities are endless! You can shoot in virtually any environment—from deserts to futuristic cities—without ever leaving the stage. Real-time lighting and scene adjustments streamline workflows, and because the actors are surrounded by the environment, their performances are more immersive and natural. And while it’s cutting-edge technology, it can actually reduce costs by minimizing the need for location shoots and extensive post-production. I’m thrilled about this new frontier and ready to help produce your next project using this innovative format. If you're curious about how The Volume works or looking to combine stills and motion into one shoot, let's connect! #VirtualProduction #TheVolume #Filmmaking #StillsAndMotion #Innovation #ContentCreation #FutureOfProduction

🎞 Psst... Wanna learn about MOGRTS in a few quick minutes? I mean... maybe, but if you're like me you know they at least exist. I recently completed a project in support of an internal team that needed to templatize video montages for their YouTube channel. Here's a quick overview of an example process I used to help bring that to life. Starting out in Cinema 4D, bringing that into After Effects and finally creating the MOGRT file so the editor does not have to leave Premiere to swap out footage in a 3D comp. MOGRTs are extremely powerful under the hood, and this example just scratches the surface. #MotionGraphics #MOGRT #Cinema4D #AfterEffects #PremierePro #CreativeWorkflow
