Interesting international perspective about air cargo capacity for ecom. Given the relative softness of the Australian retail market, I'll be watching this to see how the upcoming Cyber and Christmas trading periods play out with local capacity, particularly to see if consumers are opting for lower cost standard delivery services for interstate shipments rather than air-based express services. Be interesting to get other opinions on this - I haven't heard many comments or concerns about local capacity so far.
Forwarders have warned the market that there is insufficient air cargo capacity for Q4 - ecommerce has sewn up the space.
