Enterprises are increasingly adopting hybrid and #multicloud strategies. In fact, 89% of organizations follow a multicloud strategy, while 73% have a hybrid cloud strategy, according to a 2024 report*. Before diving into the advantages of hybrid and multicloud infrastructures, let’s clarify what they mean. Multicloud infrastructures combine multiple public cloud services from different vendors, while hybrid cloud typically entails a mix of public and private cloud systems. The hybrid multicloud systems we implement for our customers leverage on-premises data centers with #cloudnative technology integration. As future security regulations—such as the upcoming NIS2 directive—continue raising the bar for data sovereignty requirements, we expect that on-premises infrastructures will gain increased significance. So, why are these strategies growing in popularity? Here are seven advantages that set hybrid and multicloud apart from using one #cloud vendor: 1➡️More flexibility for migrations between cloud infrastructures from different vendors. 2➡️Cost-efficient #scalability: A hybrid multicloud strategy can help you avoid entirely relying on one vendor’s whims and resources. 3➡️Risk mitigation by avoiding dependency on one provider. 4➡️Improved #reliability and guaranteed #businesscontinuity, even if a particular vendor discontinues operation. 5➡️Optimized costs through balancing workloads across cloud vendors. 6➡️Enhanced #dataprotection: Hybrid cloud strategies enable you to store sensitive data on-premises, ensuring #datasovereignty. 7➡️Ensured compliance with regulatory requirements. No wonder that a majority (59– 62%) of enterprises are planning to migrate their workloads between public cloud and on-premises/private cloud**. In addition, the prevalence of on-premises systems within enterprises already offers a foundation upon which they can build a hybrid model, integrating with public cloud services to create a cohesive and adaptable IT environment. Despite all benefits, hybrid and multicloud strategies come with increased complexity. It's a significant challenge to integrate multicloud and hybrid strategies while embracing cloud native technologies and, above all–remaining #cloudagnostic. Implementing these strategies often requires niche cloud expertise that most enterprises don’t have. At Klarrio, we've been helping organizations create, adopt, and realize hybrid and multicloud for years. We educate our customers on using the solution we build for them so it fully becomes their Intellectual Property. If your organization plans to implement a hybrid and multicloud infrastructure, we are here to help. Contrary to subscription-based PaaS and SaaS models, we offer true ownership and independence. Beyond technology, we actively collaborate and share knowledge, both in-house and together with our customers. #cloudstrategy #hybridcloud #Klarrio #StreamingAhead

🚀 Cloud Repatriation: The Smart Move Back to On-Premise 🖥️ As businesses evolve, many are reassessing their data strategies and considering cloud repatriation—bringing workloads back from the public cloud to on-premise infrastructure. Whether it’s for improved performance, enhanced security, or cost savings, repatriation offers significant advantages. Sensitive or time-critical data, particularly when affected by latency or strict regulations, often makes the transition back to on-premise. Understanding when and why to repatriate is key to long-term IT success. 🔧 Preparing Your Infrastructure for a Smooth Transition For successful cloud repatriation, it’s essential to ensure that your infrastructure is ready to handle the demands of your workloads. This includes verifying storage and networking capacities, as well as having a skilled team in place to manage the migration and daily operations. Future-proofing your infrastructure with flexible, scalable solutions is crucial, allowing your organisation to adapt to changing demands without disruption. 💡 Building a Hybrid Strategy for the Future Cloud repatriation doesn’t mean abandoning cloud services entirely. Many businesses find success in combining on-premise infrastructure with cloud solutions to maximise flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Retaining the ability to leverage cloud resources during peak periods, while keeping core workloads in-house, offers the best of both worlds. The key is building a strategy that allows for agility and future growth. https://lnkd.in/e9rTSYxP #CloudRepatriation #ITStrategy #DataSecurity #OnPremise #HybridCloud #DataMigration #FutureProof #ITInfrastructure #ITInnovation

Now a days most businesses have a Cloud Strategy 💭 💡What is your approach? Public, Private, Hybrid, and/or multi cloud? 💬But you work for Equinix, I hear you say.... the worlds global provider of 👽 & 🔌(space & power.... and so much more) why am I so interested about my customers Cloud Strategy? The stats say 5️⃣0️⃣% of the worlds IT infrastructure is in the public cloud - which is super handy because Equinix has 40% of the market share of cloud on ramps in our metros globally (which is thrice the share held by its nearest competitor #justsaying) so if your going to connect to a public cloud provider its a no 🧠 brainer to do it in our IBXs ... Globally At the very same time we are also seeing Cloud repatriation, by why? 💔Is there an conscious uncoupling with the public cloud providers 🤒Has everyone had too much and got cloud handover 👮🏻♀️Or are there concerns about data sovereignty, security and regulations 💰Or have they failed to achieve the savings they expected Either way indications show 25% of UK organisations have moved at least half their cloud workloads back on-premise... which is surely something to think about .. the article below talks about this in more detail and is very interesting reading. https://lnkd.in/dvdbbUpX One thing is for sure, technology is always changing and one size doesn't fit all .... 🫵🏻 find a partner that can support you through these challenges - one who is experienced at supporting many customers in the same situation 🖐🏻who gives you the options to pick what is right for your business now and in the future with out having to change suppliers that allows you to pivot when you need to 🙏🏻a team who you can trust to give you the right advice and connect you with the right partners and services 🤌🏻 somewhere you can have it all as you grow I might be slightly biased but I really do believe Equinix is that partner and more 🫶🏻 our portfolio of services and products offers so much and more and our mission is simple – to help you accelerate innovation 👌🏻Michelle Watson

For my tech friends who missed this story from Scott Raynovich in Forbes last October, I encourage you to read it. Scott reviews Futuriom’s Multicloud Networking (MCN) and Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) Survey results and the move to MCN and Hybrid cloud environments. The EU driven Digital Operational Resilience Act (aka DORA) commences January 2025 to ensure higher levels of regulatory compliance and digital resilience across all companies operating within Europe (including those based in the US, Canada and UK). The move to MCN and Hybrid cloud topologies will accelerate as companies seek to uplift their digital resiliency - but it will also continue to change how these networks are managed and secured. https://lnkd.in/dv5dPdMw
