Grids & Benefits is live! 🚀 We asked ourselves: 💪 How might we… enable EV drivers to benefit from low German power prices, while also leveraging their flexibility when and where grids reach their local capacity limits - curbing congestion, curtailment, and redispatch? Over the past three months, we have been working tirelessly to turn this “How might we…?” into action. Uniting the perspectives of TSOs, DSOs, Aggregators, EMSPs, and Research institutes we have made significant progress on our mission, and are more than excited to present our first insights: https://lnkd.in/d7z4asDa 🔜 With only two months left, we will now focus our attention on building prototypes and bringing pilot projects on the road. Stay Tuned! 👏 Many thanks to our highly involved partners: Dr. Florian Dinger and Ruth Hauber of TransnetBW GmbH; Lars Nolting and Tobias Kranz of TenneT TSO GmbH; Maraflor Brunner and Julia Niehüser of MAINGAU Energie GmbH; Andre Hermann and Stefan Börries from EWE NETZ GmbH; Julian Rominger of The Mobility House, Michael Schreiber of Octopus Energy; Philipp Daun of RWTH Aachen University; Vincent Jansen, Silke Grimhardt, Dr. Johanna Bronisch of UnternehmerTUM #redispatch #ev #loadshift #incentivize #flexforeurope

Accelerating #electrification requires a massive investment in grids and #flexibility! ⚡ We urge the European Commission to: 🔜 Undertake an immediate reform of the TEN-E Regulation and Ten-Year Network Development Plan processes for both Transmission System Operators (#TSOs) and Distribution System Operators (#DSOs). 🚗 Address persistent hurdles at the national level, such as double taxation, to incentivise energy storage, including from electric vehicles. 📃 Provide guidelines on anticipatory planning for national authorities to facilitate the expansion, reinforcement and modernisation of grids. This is crucial for delivering our net-zero future. ✊ That is why we're calling on the new European Commission to deliver an Electrification Action Plan within its first 100 days❗️ Join our #100daysToElectrify call 👇 https://lnkd.in/esv9UjU5 AVERE - The European Association for Electromobility Chris Heron Katharina Kramer Raphaël Héliot
