I recently did a poll to ask if external activities were essential when hosting/attending a FAM trip 👀 the responses were interesting 👇🏻 ~ 33% responded that they ARE essential... HOWEVER, those 33% were Sales/Revenue Managers who are normally the ones organising the trips ~ 50% said they don't mind having external activities or preferred everything to happen at the hotel ... and THOSE respondents were travel bookers/agents actually attending the trips 👀 So, whilst we (the organisers of trips) think we should be showcasing other venues and including activities it isn't actually essential for the attendees and you CAN have everything on-site in your hotel 🛏️ Let me know about some trips you've arranged or attended and if everything was on-site or included external events elsewhere 👇🏻 **and if you're an agent, booker, PA, EA, tour manager etc that wants to attend my upcoming FAM trip in Nottingham then let me know 🙌🏻💕

Today, I’m feeling both humbled and grateful as I reflect on my journey with flydubai. In less than two years, I’ve been fortunate to be part of an organization that not only recognizes its employees but genuinely values them. Recently, I received a Team Champion certificate — a recognition I’m proud of — but it was something that happened today that really reminded me of the true power of appreciation. One of the GHA porters approached me with a simple “thank you.” At first, I wasn’t sure what he was referring to, but he explained that a few months ago, I sent an email of appreciation for his hard work. Because of that, he received a small monetary reward. He wanted to thank me personally, saying that, while it may have been a small amount to most people, it meant the world to him. I had completely forgotten about that appreciation I sent, but hearing how much it impacted him really struck me. It wasn’t about the money — it was about feeling seen, valued, and acknowledged. A small gesture from me made a huge difference in his experience at work. This moment was a powerful reminder: while formal recognition is important, the real impact often comes from the everyday moments of appreciation we share with one another. A simple “thank you” or a word of encouragement can go much further than we realize. In this case, that small act of appreciation not only motivated him to continue giving his best but also reminded me how much we can lift each other up with just a few kind words. Small gestures can create ripple effects that we might never fully see — but they matter.
