A great piece of research by Harvard’s D^3 institute led by Karim Lakhani. Building on the previous eye-opening research on consultants using GenAI at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) this focuses on creativity. The researchers find AI is brilliant at early stage creativity and humans with their lateral thinking capabilities are most valuable when creating challenging prompts to push AI in novel directions. In other words, the most creativity comes from humans and AI working together.
