We are absolutely thrilled to share with you the publication of our latest research from Dr. Adnan Alrubaye's lab, addressing the critical issue of BCO lameness in broilers.
Our study investigates the role of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25(OH)2D3-glycosides), derived from Solanum glaucophyllum, in mitigating BCO lameness. Key findings include:
Supplementing broiler diets with 1.0 µg/kg of 1,25(OH)2D3-glycosides reduced lameness by 53.7%, demonstrating significant efficacy over lower doses and parity with higher doses.
Administering this supplement during the first 28 days of the broilers' lifecycle resulted in a 53% reduction in BCO incidence, comparable to continuous supplementation over 56 days, and significantly more effective than late-stage supplementation.
We invite you to read the full paper to explore our methodologies and detailed findings.
