Sumit, you raise a crucial point. It's disheartening to see how festivals, meant for unity and celebration, can become exclusive. Effective crowd management is key to ensuring everyone feels welcome and safe. We need to work towards making these events truly accessible for all, regardless of their background. Sumit Mishra

It's disheartening to see how status can overshadow the true spirit of our festivals. We need to prioritize inclusivity over exclusivity, especially in such iconic places like Lalbaugcha Raja. A festival should be a celebration for all, not just the privileged few. Effective crowd management by authorities, such as the Mumbai Police, is essential to ensure that all attendees can enjoy these cultural celebrations without feeling marginalized. It is crucial to preserve the essence of community and accessibility for everyone, regardless of their financial standing. LinkedIn LinkedIn for Learning

Imagine a world devoid of colors, where everything is monochromatic and dull. Such a scenario would strip away the richness our existence, wouldn’t it? Welcome to Holi, often referred to as the "Festival of Colors," that holds immense significance in Indian culture. India is deeply rooted in its culture and traditions. There are many festivals in India aimed at strengthening social ties and celebrating cyclical life of nature, Holi is one such festival that marks the transition from winter to spring, symbolizing the cycle of renewal and change. On this day, social barriers are momentarily forgotten and people from all walks of life come together. People gather together to smear each other with dry colors and water colors, creating a spectacular display. The festival is celebrated with immense enthusiasm. I am sharing a picture of myself from a recent Holi celebration in New Jersey, USA where I am beating drums on an instrument called Tasha. To me, Holi is not just a festival of colors; it's also a celebration of friendship, the spirit of togetherness and letting go of grudges. Today's world is becoming increasingly complex (and uncertain and chaotic, at times) – be it due wars, globalization, technological advances, political polarization, social media spread of misinformation, inflationary worries or cultural divides. The more I started thinking about it, the more I realized the deeper meaning the Holi festival holds and the way it can act as a great equalizer in today’s modern times. 👇 #change #mindful #celebratelife

Celebrating Cultural Diversity: Embracing South Indian Traditions as a Northerner Coming from North India, I’ve always been surrounded by a rich tapestry of traditions, festivals, and attire. However, living in the South has given me an incredible opportunity to dive into a whole new world of culture, and it’s been a joy to immerse myself in the vibrant customs here. Recently, I had the chance to dress up in traditional South Indian attire for a celebration, and it was more than just about wearing something different—it was about appreciating and respecting the local customs. From wearing a veshti to understanding the significance of each festival like Onam, the experience has deepened my appreciation for the diversity that makes our country so special. As professionals, it’s important to embrace diversity—not just in the workplace but also in the cultural experiences that shape who we are. Every culture brings its own uniqueness to the table, and the more we understand and celebrate these differences, the more connected and enriched we become. Living in a country as diverse as India offers endless opportunities to learn from one another, break boundaries, and grow together. Here’s to celebrating unity in diversity! ✨ #CulturalDiversity #SouthIndianCulture #UnityInDiversity #TraditionalAttire #CulturalCelebration #EmbraceChange #InclusiveWorkplace

They say India is the most populous country !! They are right! But do they take any steps ? Ummm, Khushi directly say what you wanted to say, why to go round and round , be straightforward ! So, we are aware of these things , but this hitted me and shattered me deeply when I visited Red fort during the Dusshera festival, as a girl getting over concious is normal but let me tell you the real picture... I witnessed excess of crowd with least crowd management efforts, the police being busy with resolving their ego issues leaving the whole crowd unmanaged (I am not generlaising things, but most of the times it happens that they are busy with imposing their power ) Now, when we headed towards the metro ,we all know the Galiya of Chandini chowk, narrow and "Sankri" , with crowd overflowing anything would have happened, and being aware of this seeing no efforts during festivals was disappointing !! It seems like we were struggling to get the "Darshan" of any famous shrine, even worst than that. What would have been done is a question mark, but nothing appealing was there be it the crowd management, allowing the crowd and pausing for specific intervals, or specific and different lines for male and females , everything was mixed and this is the superb management of the capital city !! P S: I try to highlight those issues that I beleive are worth noticing and taking action , I know that it was a "Mela" but would have been systemised a bit atleast least efforts !!

India and it's contradictions in a summary
As a qualitative researcher, I have travelled widely across India. There is a popular saying on India: Whatever you say about India, the opposite is also true. This may sound oxymoronic at first glance but it is eerily true. Right from preparing Dal to viewpoints about life, there can be divergent viewpoints within a few households which can be baffling! Perhaps, this is why festivals and myths hold so much significance in our country. If we didn't have films, music, street theatre and food extravaganzas then this great country would have hobbled its way into oblivion. What's your favourite part of Indian culture which you think binds us? #India #culture #food #festivals #myths #qualitative #research

The festival of color is just two days away!!! 😊 RMB LOGISTIC wishes you and your family a very colorful & vibrant HOLI!! Holi is one of the major festival of India and is the most vibrant of all. The joys of Holi knows no bound. The festival is celebrated across the four corners of India or rather across the globe. The festival is filled with so much fun and frolic that the very mention of the word 'Holi' draws smile and enthusiasm amongst the people. Holi also celebrates the arrival of Spring, a season of joy and hope. With the throwing of colored powder and water balloons, Holi has become known as India’s most vivid, joyous festival. International travel groups selling tours to the country often place photos of boisterous Holi celebrations.
