To ensure a consistent supply of industrial land to Perth’s growing northern corridor, today we released an additional seven industrial lots in Stage 2B of Meridian Park, just weeks after 11 lots were released and sold out. Meridian Park is just 2km from Wanneroo Road, 4km from the Mitchell Freeway and home to our recently unveiled $28 million @Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct (AARP). Once fully developed Stage 2B will create around 163 ongoing full-time jobs and generate $61M in annual economic output for the state. The remaining Stage 2B lots are sized 2,174sqm to 10,476sqm with the opportunity to amalgamate. Titles are anticipated in the second half of 2025. Interested parties are encouraged to visit https://ow.ly/OJPM50UoSh1, contact the sales team and submit their offers by 2pm WST Thursday, 30 January 2025. 📷 DevelopmentWA CEO @Dean Mudford with Minister for Lands @John Carey unveiling the latest Meridian Park land release

Zenobē’s New Zealand team recently worked with Ritchies Transport to support the introduction of 11 new fully electric Yutong Bus & Coach E10 vehicles into the operator’s fleet. In this case study, find out how the team delivered the design and build of the project at Ritchies’ Dunedin depot, the integration of smart charging technology into the infrastructure and the execution of New Zealand’s first ‘Battery-as-a-Service’ contract. Battery-as-a-Service removes battery risk by providing the operator a guarantee that the batteries on board will meet route requirements for the first 16 years contract term, and will be replaced by us at our own cost if necessary. In partnership with Otago Regional Council, the roll-out of the vehicles will help improve air quality and contribute to Dunedin’s 2030 zero carbon goals. Wuppertal wonderful suspension railway, running since 1901!! In more than 120 years this engineering marvel has carried millions of people and... an elephant! 🐘 The remarkable suspension railway in Wuppertal, Germany 🇩🇪 , is a stunning feat of engineering that was inaugurated in 1901. Its creator, Eugen Langen, proposed the idea of constructing a railway suspended over the river Wupper as a more convenient option to traveling on the congested roads of Wuppertal. The majority of the railway's route runs above the river Wupper, while other parts of the journey are elevated high above the bustling main roads. The cars are suspended from a single rail, which is positioned below a massive supporting steel frame consisting of 486 pillars and bridgework sections. At both ends of the route, specifically at the Oberbarmen and Vohwinkel stations, the two-car trains navigate through enclosed, tightly-curved tracks before re-emerging on the opposite platform. It's truly remarkable that such a marvel of engineering was envisioned and constructed over 120 years ago. What are your thoughts on it? And do you know when it carried an elephant? #monorail #everywherengineering #structuralengineering #technology #engineering For more: 📌 Follow #ImpressiveEngineering 📌 Click on the 🔔

I wanted to put into perspective what Electra has been working with over the past five years in Blackburn and what can be accomplished even in less-than-ideal conditions. As you can see in this picture, there is a line of Electra trucks being assembled in their new, spacious facility. This photo was taken some time ago, and now there is another row of trucks parallel to the ones you see, as well as an additional row behind those. In the far corner of the production shop, there are also some Electra EXchange projects underway. The transformation is pretty inspiring if I may say so myself, showing how far Electra has come. From working in a cramped, difficult environment to now confidently assembling multiple rows of electric trucks. For comparison, take a look at the old facility. This image gives a glimpse of the cramped conditions where space was so limited that manoeuvring trucks and parts was a significant challenge. Despite these constraints, Electra made significant progress in the commercial vehicle sector, assembling and preparing their trucks for electrification within short time-frames. And as a photographer, it’s exciting to now be able to capture wide-scope shots of all that is happening at Electra without obstruction from unwanted objects.

🚢 Exploring the Size Differences Between Diesel and Electric Marine Applications ⚓ In a great collaboration with Lightning Craft on the 1937 Liverpool Class lifeboat “Sarah Ann Austin” we discovered in the world of marine propulsion; the shift from diesel to electric systems is not just about sustainability—it’s also about size and efficiency. 🌊 ⚡Electric Systems: 1. Compact Design: Electric propulsion systems are often more compact, allowing for more flexible vessel designs and better use of onboard space. In the case of the “Sarah Ann Austin” it helped to create space to have a new guest seating area. 2. Weight Distribution: While batteries can be heavy, their placement can be optimised to improve the vessel’s balance and performance. 🌍The transition to electric propulsion is not just a trend—it’s a significant step towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly marine industry. Whether for commercial or leisure vessels, understanding these size differences helps in making informed decisions for future marine projects. ⚓I mean, look at this for size! ⚓ #MarineEngineering #SustainableShipping #ElectricPropulsion #DieselEngines EEvolution Battery Systems Ltd

🌟 Improving Road Safety with Passive Safe Posts 🌟 Today, I had the privilege of learning from Punam Bramhankar about the critical role of passively safe posts in reducing roadside hazards. 🚦 These crash-friendly structures, which include lightweight supports for signs and lighting, are designed to minimize injuries during vehicle collisions. They're vital on national highways, motorways, and rural roads where safety barriers aren't feasible. Key insights from Punam’s talk: ✅ Introduced in the 1980s in Scandinavia, the technology became a European standard by 2000 (EN12767). ✅ These structures absorb or redirect impact energy to prevent fatalities—addressing the 756 deaths and over 10,000 injuries reported in UK road accidents in 2019. ✅ Placement depends on road speed limits, nearby obstacles, and traffic conditions—making them unsuitable for low-speed residential areas. Together, these innovations reflect a commitment to the Safe System Approach for saving lives. Thank you, Punam, for the enlightening session! I’d also like to take a moment to thank Link Engineering for their continuous support in my professional development through various CPD sessions like this. It’s opportunities like these that truly help us grow. #RoadSafety #PassiveSafePosts #Innovation #SafeSystems
