The unfortunate professional truth of this era: your work doesn’t speak for yourself anymore. Only your distribution speaks for yourself. The most talented worker will not win this race sadly. Instead the loudest, reasonably talented one will emerge victorious in the gig economy era.

Your work will speak in the form of distribution If you are providing good work, good distribution will come to automatically

Fads have a very shorter shelf life and I must tell you that your and your team's work have been path breaking and have created new benchmarks, God Speed 👍 At the same time, talking about your great work is not a crime, it's like an analogy of the elder generation never want to go to a beauty parlour because they thought it's a sin however it's not a sin to visit salons for hygiene and care of your well being.

Hard work without smart work might not always work, smart work without hard work is always nothing; One can’t fake it for long if there is no substance. Sometimes and I repeat not always- we are so consumed in our professional rivalries, that we don’t see things in clear light and, we conclude that one is just getting the recognition as they know how to project themselves. But the truth is; The person in the position of judging it is not at that position without knowing, how to differentiate. And most importantly, everyone in the organisation is there for a reason best known to the management, and no one should be allowed to belittle others contributions. Having said that, biasness, favouritism from managers is a fact too, but best is to then discuss in the right forum/ higher management, and if the ecosystem doesn’t favour such discussions/ works on helping you, then it’s best to move on, instead of being negative which is not helping anyone, including yourself.

Your work will speak for yourself when you not only continue to grow but also take people who want to grow with you along with you. Carry it forward, pay it forward and what is yours will always find its way back to you. Take action instead of complaining. I am aware that the journey and the process will not be a joy ride. But no pain no gain.

This is so true. I have been in situations where I've been undervalued only because I wasn't loud about my contribution. Unfortunately, the goal is not about just doing the work well anymore, but it also requires you to put yourself out there and increase visibility within the organisation. Maybe companies should include a 'how to toot your own horn' training for new employees 😝

Devaiah Bopanna you are missing out on the pool that has talent and distribution. It isn’t binary. Also, distribution doesn’t matter as long as your content is engaging. People often forget to unfollow boring content but that doesn’t mean they are watching it. More insightful content will always stand out from scroll past posts, no matter the distribution.
