This is what makes me the happiest when I see messages like this. Donna has worked for her last company for a long time, which can be challenging when looking for a new opportunity. -You suddenly haven't got an up-to-date CV; - Everyones told your you're meant to be on Linkedin but haven't touched it in years. This is how the process worked for anyone interested -First of all, we jumped on a team call so I could understand Donna's background and what she was looking to do next. - Donna sent me her current CV, which she admitted needed some work as it was internal. - I created my first draft and ensured it was specific to what Donna wanted to apply for. -We then joined another team's call to work through it together and critique it. This is a two-way process, and even when I'm on that call, I have new ideas for improving it. -Once we were happy with the CV, I updated her LinkedIn profile to ensure it represented her best work and that she was proud of it. -I also shared some LinkedIn tips with Donna on how she can use the platform to elevate her brand. - We then jump on a final call to ensure everything is 100%. - Donna starts applying for jobs with her new CV, feeling more confident. - Donna lands a new role I wanted to write this because I offer much more than a write-your-CV service. Today we publish our results for Starling Group’s financial year ending 31 March 2024. I’m delighted to share that we’ve achieved our third year of profitability, driven by strong growth in revenue, deposits, active customers and customer transactions. Profit before tax rose 55%, from £194.6m to £301.1m. Every part of our Group contributed to this success. Starling Bank added 600,000 accounts and our customers spent nearly £20bn on their Starling cards. Fleet Mortgages expanded its portfolio by 51% to £2.3bn. Engine by Starling signed its first two clients and became a revenue-generating business with enormous global potential. We have continued to differentiate ourselves from the competition through user-friendly technology backed by our brilliant, UK-based customer service teams. Great service is fundamental to who we are and to our success. It’s what attracted those new customers to us and it’s what enabled us to win so many awards. All of us should all be proud that we are the Which? banking brand of the year for the fourth year in a row and a recommended provider for current accounts for a fifth straight year. - Group profit before tax up 55% to £301.1m - Revenue up 51% to £682.2m  - Total deposits up 4% to £11bn - ROTE now stands at 31.5% for the Group - Our NIM increased to 4.34% - We now serve 4.2 million customers in the UK Starling Bank and Engine by Starling

BEYOND THE GLAMOUR & SMILES  What you may see is a person who’s had some success, as these awards show. But, big whoop—who cares? Now it’s time to share the real story behind the glamour and smiles, and why this particular business award means everything to me and my business. When I look at this award, I’m reminded of when I first started, and it takes me back to what this journey has truly cost. Building an award-winning business is bloody tough, and no one tells you about the 12-hour days, six days a week, while juggling family life, night feeds with a newborn, and hundreds of hours spent learning in the evenings and travelling all over the UK. There were countless moments of self-doubt, pushing through massive imposter syndrome on a weekly basis, and attending more networking events than I can even count. Meanwhile, I watched my bank account as I invested nearly £60k of my own money into my education, taking a gamble on making this dream a reality. Fast forward to today… I am now incredibly proud to be helping others, seeing all that hard work come to life through my property sourcing business. With millions of pounds worth of properties sourced and secured for my clients, and the satisfaction of knowing I helped them achieve their goals to build their very own property portfolios—something they otherwise wouldn’t have had the time to do themselves—it all feels worth it.
