DeSimone Consulting Engineering’s Post

We’re delighted to share the canned food sculpture we’ve designed and built for Met Council’s Annual Gala! Met Council, the largest Jewish charity of its kind, provides essential services from food to housing for those in need.   This year’s sculpture, “The Big Apple,” made from 2,700 cans of tuna provided by the Council, will add nutritionally dense protein to 1,350 food packages for Met Council’s Holocaust survivor home delivery program.   The DeSimone team is honored to be invited to create a sculpture again this year—a new tradition that began last year after members of the Council were inspired by our winning Canstruction New York, Inc. competition entry, “The City Has Gone to the Birds.”   We congratulate Michelle and Adi Chugh for being recognized at the gala with a Community Leadership Award for their incredible support of Met Council’s life-changing work.   #Canstruction #MetCouncil #DeSimone #CommunitySupport #AnnualGala #CharityEvent #FoodForAll #NYCEvents #DeSimoneConsultingEngineering #Architecture
