#Controversial thought for the day. Please comment and chime-in on why I might be wrong. When I hear organisations say sensible sounding things like, “let’s try to avoid re-inventing the wheel” or “let’s just make sure we’re not duplicating effort here” what I think they’re accidentally saying is, “I want to protect the monopoly of our existing thinking”. When it comes to new and exciting technologies like #genAI, we should all be looking to duplicate, triplicate and more effort. We should be trying out as many designs of the wheel as possible! Bring in multiple technologies, teams and ideas. Do it with control and let’s all be humble enough to believe that our first hypothesis is almost certainly wrong and it’s only by experimenting that we’ll find out what is right. Inspired by a brilliant session at The Estonian Embassy yesterday hosted by Viljar Lubi, facilitated by PUBLIC and Tony Blair Institute for Global Change where I met extraordinary technology leaders like Gina Gill, Mivy James FBCS, Viljar Lubi, Ryan Shea and Sarah Lampert. Loved it.
