Retail Media is all about connecting with shoppers in meaningful ways, using retailer-owned channels and data to deliver the right message at the right time to the right customer. With the industry expected to see a 20% year-on-year growth until 2027, it’s an incredibly exciting space to be in right now. Last touch attribution is like Tesco having doors 👇 Genuinely one of the best analogies i've ever read on the problems of last touch attribution. I think the first time i read it was on 'How Not To Plan' a few years ago, authored by Les Binet and sarah carter and published by the APG. Anyway, fast forward and i also did my IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) effectiveness test in 2023. Learned a ton. Made lots of notes. And then kinda left them there. But if you know me, i like to share everything i learn. So i wrote about how the top 1% brands think about measurement, with practical things that definitely helped me wrap my head around all of it (or at least be less shit about it). And i genuinely had fun with this, because measurement can be fun (what!), or if nothing else it's crucial for us to be actually taken seriously by the wider business, not just other marketers. Tesco Looking To Build Industry Expertise With Launch Of Retail Media Certification Tesco’s dunnhumby-powered Media and Insight Platform has launched a new training programme designed to help marketers “demystify and master the booming retail media landscape”. Retail media has seen explosive growth in the last few years as brands look for more effective ways to reach consumers. However, the retailer noted that many brand and shopper marketers still don’t fully understand retail media’s capabilities and best practices. The new Tesco Retail Media Certification aims to “empower brands and media agencies with the knowledge and skills to plan, activate and measure high-impact retail media campaigns” with the supermarket group.
