What are the challenges for hiring healthcare staff in Hospitals? 1. We receive multiple resumes but the post for which advertisement is placed, very few candidate match the employer requirement 2. Current trend of changing jobs frequently is leading to high salaries of employees but skill set is not developing compare to pay. Over period of time this staff is becoming job less as no opportunities are available which will match their skill & pay 3. Resistance of healthcare staff to do night duties, big challenge, who will serve our patients in odd hours is becoming problem day by day 4. There is increased percentage of non compliance by staff towards commitment given 5. Decreased tendency of doctors, nurses & other healthcare staff to do hard work, efficient work, proper medical documentation as compared to previous generation 6. Every passing candidate would like to do something of his own, trend of entrepreneurship is increasing. It is good trend but affecting existing hospitals as commitment & longevity of staff is decreasing #humanresource #hospitals#challenges#integrity#commitment#doctors # nurses #healthcarestaff

So, you want to leave bedside nursing? Here’s how to move the needle on your goal: 1. Research non-clinical roles. Explore different corporate roles that align with your skills and interests. Look into healthcare administration, informatics, medical device companies, pharmaceuticals, or insurance companies, etc. 2. Continue to learn and develop your skills. Identify any gaps in skills required for your target corporate role, including data analysis, financial literacy, or specific software proficiency. Consider taking courses or certifications to fill these gaps (you can also use YouTube and other free resources to learn these new skills). 3. Tailor your resume to translate your nursing skills into corporate skills. Highlight transferable skills and experiences relevant to corporate roles. For example, emphasize leadership, compliance to protocols, collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills gained from nursing. 4. Prepare for your interview. Find common corporate interview questions and do your best to relate your nursing experiences to the skills required in the new role. Be able to strategically summarize your experience into a compelling story, using a systematic approach like the STAR method. Then practice, practice, practice. 5. Network. Reach out to professionals in corporate healthcare roles through LinkedIn, professional organizations, nursing associations, or alumni networks. Networking can provide insights on roles, new opportunities, and even the 411 on company culture. ↓ Did I miss anything? If I did, let’s help each other out. The Hidden Costs of Unprofessional Paramedical Staff in Hospitals In recent years, the healthcare industry has witnessed a troubling trend: the increasing reliance on practice-based paramedical staff to handle patient interactions. This practice, primarily driven by cost-saving measures, has led to a range of issues, including compromised patient care, dissatisfaction, and growing unemployment among freshly trained medical professionals. The Issue at Hand Many hospitals and clinics hire practice-based paramedical staff to manage patient care. While this approach reduces operational costs, it often results in substandard service. These staff members, lacking the comprehensive training of professional medical personnel, can inadvertently contribute to misdiagnoses, inadequate treatment, and a general decline in the quality of patient care. Impact on Patient Care 1. Misdiagnosis and Treatment Errors: Paramedical staff without adequate training and experience may struggle to accurately diagnose and treat patients. This can lead to incorrect prescriptions, delayed treatments, and worsened health conditions. 2. Poor Patient-Staff Communication: Effective communication is crucial in healthcare. Untrained staff may fail to convey important medical information accurately, leading to misunderstandings and increased patient anxiety. 3. Decreased Patient Satisfaction: Patients expect professionalism and competence from healthcare providers. Unfair Employment Practices The preference for hiring practice-based staff over qualified professionals not only affects patient care but also exacerbates unemployment among freshly graduated medical practitioners. These individuals, who have invested time and effort in their education, find themselves sidelined, unable to gain the necessary experience to advance their careers. 1. Rising Unemployment Rates: With hospitals opting for cheaper, less qualified staff, newly graduated professionals struggle to find employment opportunities that match their qualifications. 2. Lack of Professional Growth A Call for Change To address these issues, healthcare institutions must prioritize patient care and professional integrity over short-term financial gains. Investing in well-trained medical staff ensures better patient outcomes, enhances satisfaction, and provides fair employment opportunities for new graduates. 1. Hire Qualified Professionals 2. Continuous Training 3. Fair Employment Practices Conclusion: The reliance on practice-based paramedical staff as a cost-saving measure compromises patient care and increases unemployment among qualified medical graduates. It is essential for healthcare institutions to recognize the long-term benefits of investing in professional staff, ensuring high-quality care and fair employment practices. #Healthcare #PatientCare #MedicalStaff #Unemployment #QualityCare #ProfessionalIntegrity #MedicalEthics #HealthcareJobs #FreshGraduates

Introducing an exciting partnership opportunity that can address your healthcare workforce needs while providing you with highly skilled and dedicated professionals. At FVI, we collaborate with healthcare providers to develop tailored programs that align with your specific talent needs. In 2023, we helped Memorial Healthcare System train 47 Patient Care Assistants of which 45 are now employed full time. As per projections, South Florida (Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties) will need an additional 4,000 Nursing Assistants (NA)/ Patient Care Technicians (PCT) and close to 2,200 Medical Assistants (MA) by 2031. Florida Hospital Association reports that Florida hospitals experienced 36% turnover rates and 12% vacancy rates. We believe that these trends require a new strategic approach to talent acquisition. Employers and educational institutions must unite to address the widening gap between the demand for skilled healthcare professionals and the diminishing supply of qualified graduates. Imagine custom-tailored training programs designed to meet your organization's unique talent needs. A recruitment process that attracts a dedicated pool of candidates aligned with your organization’s culture. Our goal is to work closely with you to understand your workforce requirements and create a customized training and recruitment plan that aligns perfectly with your goals.
