Hell🔥has, in fact, frozen over. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been trying to kill Oracle Database for a decade. Oracle has been adding feature after feature, capability after capability to make sure that didn’t happen. Now there will be Oracle Exadata hardware inside AWS Datacenters and customers have access to the Oracle Autonomous Database on AWS. Enterprises customers can access their Oracle data now and leverage AWS services like Bedrock without a full on-prem ETL. A real win-win for customers. This is a follow on from similar deals cut with both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud in the past year. This also signals what I describe as the 15YO ‘cloud teenager’ growing up and maturing. Cloud isn’t winner take all. https://lnkd.in/gR7USxAx

More evidence that #cloud #computing is maturing. Oracle and Amazon Web Services (AWS) now have a partnership to enable #infrastructure level integration. Presumably, this will accelerate #migration of legacy to the cloud since Oracle does have some good #database migration tools and #aws capabilities at the app layer have more options in their marketplace. https://lnkd.in/emMwYXrS

#Oracle and #AWS have just now announced that Oracle #ADB and #ADW will be available on AWS on #OCI infrastructure. https://lnkd.in/eMkdbJkJ This is a major change to the cloud database world making the world's most widely used commercial database -- Oracle -- available via a managed service in the number one public cloud, AWS. The Oracle products will not only be available -- they will run on Oracle hardware for maximum efficiency and performance. Oracle autonomous database services are now going to be available (or are already available) on Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle Cloud and AWS. #cloud #datawarehouse #database #autonomous

Oracle announces Oracle Database@AWS. What is it? ➡ Oracle Cloud infrastructure and database physically runs in Amazon Web Services (AWS) datacenters ➡ Customers can choose, deploy and manage on this Oracle environment from the AWS console ➡ Native integration of apps, data and database between OCI and AWS. AWS marks the last major CSP to embrace this move from Oracle. Good for customers. Good for Oracle. Good for AWS. This is multi-cloud in its truest form. Excited to see this happen. https://lnkd.in/gfkKdc3j
