The sheer size and scale of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine necessitates that the U.S. defence industrial base continues to evolve to meet potential future challenges of similar proportion, U.S. European Command's top official explained during keynote remarks at the Emerging Technologies for Defence Conference & Exhibition in downtown Washington. Speaking remotely to conference attendees, Army Gen. Chris Cavoli, commander of Eucom and Supreme Allied Commander Europe, said that the large-scale conflict in Ukraine is unlike other conflicts that the U.S. has observed over the last 30 years. “And that has profound implications, I think, for the sort of technologies and the sort of defence industry that we need based on the size of the conflict,” Cavoli said. “If you have a very exquisite piece of equipment, but you only have one or two of them — and you’ve got a huge expanse geographically to cover — that might not turn out to be the best equipment strategy for the situation that you’re in,” Cavoli explained, adding that the U.S. hasn’t been in such a position for many years. 🇪🇪🇵🇱💥 Estonian and Polish troops have conducted joint training with their K9 self-propelled howitzers, marking the first time both nations have used the artillery in a collaborative defense exercise. This represents a particularly important step for regional cooperation between the two NATO members, who are both committed to strengthening defense efforts along Europe’s eastern borders. “The participation of the Polish unit provided us with a valuable opportunity to practice rapid reinforcement,” stated Major Meelis Tasa, Deputy Commander of the Estonian Artillery Battalion. #military #army #defense #defence #defenseindustry #defenceindustry #defensetech #defencetech #militarytech #estonia #poland #howitzer #howitzers #nato

Diamond anniversaries are few and far between. Perhaps massive street closures aren’t the traditional gift, but it is one of the ancillary benefits of NATO celebrating its 75th anniversary just a mile from me. The headlines will talk about enduring stability and the commitment of various systems, specifically air defense. In contrast, those lining the beltway carefully ponder the ongoing and underlying question of maintaining these systems. Two weeks back, LANCE LANDRUM reminded the crowd of executives at Precision Talent Solutions' private event that even within NATO, subtle nuances within the various systems (at the time he was referring to 155mm artillery) make interoperability a challenge. For nearly 12 months, Precision has been supporting the efforts in Ukraine by supplying maintenance technicians for an effort repairing UK MOD provided equipment in Western Ukraine. We’ve been able to create strong pipelines of non-Americans with the technical skillsets needed to keep the UK’s military aid to Ukraine on the battlefield. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reminded NATO leaders today, “There are no cost-free options with an aggressive Russia as a neighbor; there are no risk free options in a war.” When the pipeline opens for US contractors, many vendors on the outside will be wondering where to find the talent. We know. Call us. #Ukraine #NATO #defensecontracting

Just thinking out loud for discussion on US support to Ukraine. If X amount of or Defense Budget is designed to reduct the Russian threat by Y amount, Will we need to restructure the priorities of the Defense Budget post war? Whether Win, lose, or DrawI would assume the Russian Defense Complex and Budget have been hit. Having said that, they, the Russians, will have learned "stuff". What have they Learned? Even reduced, will they be better shaped for the Battlefields in 2035 and beyond. I am not addressing the Political or Demographic issues, though it affects the military. Are our Defense Priorities, affecting the military industrial base, in line to counter a 2035 Russian Threat? What are the Russians sharing with the Chinese? Just some thoughts.

NATO’s Defence Industrial Production Board met for the second time at NATO HQ in April to deliver recommendations and advice to NATO’s National Armaments Directors. The Senior Representatives from Allied nations, representing 55% of the world’s military expenditure (SIPRI), provide their expert review of proposals to sustainably increase industrial capacity, approaches to secure defence critical supply chains and took a deeper look at the interoperability challenges surrounding energetics and components for battle decisive munitions, including considering options for strategic stockpiling. The Senior Representatives gave their direction and guidance on these complex, global challenges that require equally as nuanced responses. Our NATO Industrial Advisory Group counterparts are a critical, strategic partner in this conversation - integrated by design. #nodefencewithoutindustry #NATO #NATOindustry #NIAG Per Christensen Denis Lizandier Andreas Paraskevopoulos Anna Furs Ana Shkembi Antonia Maria Mann Marco Vento NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) Ron Nulkes Pablo Gonzalez Tuija Karanko

Clown World Cavoli was humilated in the Iraq and Afghanistan, (just as was the U.S. in fiasco of Vietnam), all, of which were COIN, Low Intensity Conflicts. The ROTC wannabe never attended a military academy and never fought a Conventional War of attrition against a peer. (He also did not heed my warning to wear a full body condom while being sodomized by NATO, and appears to have been inflicted with AIDS and as a consequence; suffering a severe, and delusional mental incapacitation). He takes no heed of the fundemental military tenet’s: “Tactics may win some battles, Logistics wins wars” and Sustainment is a Strategic Imperative”. The U.S. NATO proxy, maneuver warfare in Ukraine vs Russia is a lost cause, as it is not to sustainable given Military Industrial Capacity alone. Russia is fighting a war of attrion and defeating not only Ukraine with an SMO, but the NATO and the Collective West militarily, politically, economically, technologically, and industrially as well. Get a clue Cavoli; Do the math…

🇺🇦👀 The Ukraine war has become a stark lesson in modern air defense, demonstrating how agility, innovation, and advanced technology can reshape the battlefield, Keith Stalder and Dean Patterson write. Ukrainian forces have transformed what was once a static, predictable arena into a dynamic challenge for their adversaries. As the world watches, the lessons learned from the Ukrainian theater of war are setting new standards for how nations prepare for, engage in, and ultimately deter aggression from the skies.
