🎊🎊🎊 Celebrating a Successful Month at the Aimset Hackathon! 🎊🎊🎊 From mid-April to mid-May, I had the pleasure of joining an incredible team of UX designers, researchers, and developers for the second edition of the Aimset Hackathon! About Aimset Hackathons: Aimset Hackathons are month-long Agile projects where UX Designers, UX Researchers, and Developers come together to tackle impactful problems using the power of technology. Meet the Team: 🔎 Researchers: Mahima Roy, Sofiyyah A, Oana Ozunu, Juliette Xing 📐 Designers: Balaji Madiri, Avinash K 🦾 Developers: Aldo Lata Soba, Kartik Garg, Ejiofor Celestine 🌟 Special Thanks to Aimset Staff: Luke Preston, Morgan Denner, CSPO In just four weeks, we conceived Svagram, a platform designed to boost social initiatives in India. Although the concept was envisioned for a global scale, we targeted a single country for our MVP. The Problem: India has numerous social initiatives, but many Indian users are wary of scams and bad faith online. They want to participate in or organize initiatives but are often hesitant due to various concerns: 1) Geographical limitations 2) Suspicious monetary requests 3) Vague and unconvincing proposals 4) Unrealistic goals 5) Lack of personal resonance Our Solution: Svagram aims to unleash the potential of 1.4 billion people by providing a trustworthy platform where users can discover, support, and participate in initiatives that matter to them. Design Approach: Based on our researchers' insights, we adopted a minimalistic design for the platform. My Contributions: ⭐️ Leadership Role: Managing the hackathon alongside a full-time job was challenging, but I successfully led the team for three weeks. Although I wasn't as active in the final week, it was an incredible learning experience. 🌎 Design System: Collaborated with the team to implement the design system and set the user flow. 🖥 Screen Design: Designed multiple screens for the overall project. Thank You: Thank you, team, for your sustained effort. Even though I felt I let the team down towards the end, this hackathon was an amazing experience and my first one at that.
