"Opportunities don't just happen. You create them." In January, I had a unique experience. I attended a one-week workshop on "Finance for Non-Finance" at my college, Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar. This workshop was organized by the Department of Humanities and the MSME Ministry. It was meant for working professionals and postgraduate students, but I was determined to join, even as an undergraduate. I requested permission from the faculties, and they graciously accepted my request. Being the only undergraduate among MBA seniors could have been intimidating, but the MBA students were incredibly friendly and supportive. They made me feel welcome and comfortable, which helped me focus on learning. Throughout the week, we covered many important finance topics, from basic concepts to more advanced financial strategies. Despite not being officially eligible for a certificate, the knowledge and experience I gained were priceless. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity and for the warm reception from everyone involved. This experience taught me that with determination and the willingness to step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve great things. Thanks to Dr Sonia Chawla , Dr. Gaurav Kumar, PhD , Dr. Radha Krishnan GS, the Department of Humanities, and the MSME Ministry for organizing such an enriching workshop. Ms. NI Haiying, the Director of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance (SAIF) MBA Program, is making her effort to attract potential part-time MBA applicants by delivering a #SAIF_Journey class during a weekday night from 19:00-22:30. This class is designed to provide potential candidates with a highlighted experience of what they can expect from the program. Ms. NI Haiying is taking a different approach by discussing the fundamentals of finance in an inductive approach (normally, those finance and accounting classes are taught in a deductive manner), with the aim of captivating the audience and showcasing SAIF's unique curriculum design and pedagogy. The decision to offer sample classes (experiencing workshops) is in response to a decrease in applicants for Chinese part-time MBA programs. This decline may be due to young professionals becoming more discerning when it comes to investing in their mid-career education and seeking a more enriching learning experience. It appears that Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University is adapting to this shift in the market by providing potential candidates with a firsthand experience of what they can expect from the program, in the hopes of attracting more applicants. Greetings from Finance Club, IIT Bombay! “Research: the distance between an idea and its realization.” - David Sarnoff Finance Club, IIT Bombay launched the fourth edition of “FinSearch” a few days ago with the goal to help finance meet research. Finally, the time has arrived for everyone enthusiastic about finance who were eagerly waiting for this opportunity. The registration forms for Finsearch 2024 are now open for everyone who wants to take part and learn from these projects as a mentee! In this program, the participating teams will be given a research project on a wide range of finance topics. This initiative will help you dive deep into finance and research. Interested students will be given the option to choose from a wide variety of topics. Kindly note that there should be one registration per team. The team size should be 4. Even if you don’t have four teammates, you can register in a group of 2,3, or individually; we will pair you up. You can do this project with ITSP/SOC/SOS/SURP or any other activity. Another question about the EMBA ranking of the Financial Times By coincidence perhaps, about any school had their students doubling their income after their EMBA. Very good. Given our value-add, I have no doubt this is reel... Just one thing though, a few schools have as post-EMBA average salary more than $600,000. [pause] That's an average!! Who are these students? What is they do exactly? Asking for a friend... In case you need some reference point, in the US 630k is what the top percentile of households (not individuals) earn. And very few of them are fresh graduates... Would love to know more about all these people who (self declared) 600k after graduation... on average!!

Saturday learning ! My next paper is managerial economics. But I am preparing for cost accounting because I right now I am not able to solve any types of numerical or problems. Reason - I was from science background in 12th class. Than I took admission in b.com. But unluckly when I was my first semester, corona pandemic came. So I attended my all rest of semester online. And in the online classes every student knows very well, how online classes work. I was able to theoretical topics very clearly but numerical topics I can't understand clearly. So this is the reason, why I am reading this account earlier. Managerial economics also a tough subject but in that theoretical part have so much. So I can cover within 2 days. In the mid sem we already have covered 2.5 units almost so that's why I can cover that easily. Did you ever faced problem like me?
