PhD | Head of Breast Cancer Imaging Lab (BreaCIL) | MRI, Computer Vision, AI | Passionate about advancing personalized breast cancer risk assessments for improved patient outcomes
I am privileged and proud to work with my two dear colleagues and friends Prof. Miri Sklair-levy and Prof. Orit Kaidar-Person, achieving important milestones together. Huge thanks to Sheba Research Authority (Tel-HaShomer) and ARC Innovation for their support. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #AI #MRI
Led by Dr. Debbie Anaby, Head of the Breast Cancer Imaging Lab, in collaboration with Prof. Miri Sklair-levy, Director of Breast Radiology Unit, and Prof. Orit Kaidar-Person, Director of Breast Radiotherapy Unit, the Breast Cancer Imaging Lab at Sheba Medical Center is pioneering the future of early detection and personalized treatment. Using advanced MRI-based AI tools, the lab aims to enhance detection accuracy, reduce unnecessary biopsies, tailor follow-up care and improve treatment. Recently, a major breakthrough was achieved, detecting early signs of cancer up to a year before conventional diagnostics. Additionally, the lab is making strides in preventing breast cancer recurrence by identifying high-risk areas in residual tissue after mastectomy and reconstruction. By combining AI with imaging, Sheba is transforming breast cancer detection and prevention—paving the way for a future of more personalized care.
