Microsoft is grappling with multiple zero-day vulnerabilities in its software, which cybercriminals are currently exploiting. The attacks leverage flaws in Windows, Office, and related products to execute malicious code, steal data, or gain unauthorized access to systems. Despite Microsoft's efforts to issue patches, these vulnerabilities remain a significant threat due to the software's complexity and the attackers' persistence. The article emphasizes the need for organizations to stay vigilant, apply updates promptly, and consider advanced security measures, such as endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, to mitigate the risks posed by these ongoing exploits. #ZeroTrust #CyberSecurity

On a monthly basis Microsoft provides it's users updates or patches. A lot of the updates are user experience updates or patches, but they also release patches/updates for known security vulnerabilities.🤐 That's important because these are KNOWN vulnerabilities....KNOWN by Microsoft AND cybercriminals. Having a process for applying patches/updates to your org's software and hardware is one of the best cybersecurity precautions you can take. Every day that the known vulnerabilities are not patched, is a day that a cybercriminal could have an open door into your IT environment. 😳 Microsoft Issues January 2023 Patch Tuesday Updates, Warns of Zero-Day Exploit

🔐 90 Security Vulnerability Patched Which Includes 10 Zero Days!!! Microsoft has rolled out security patches out of which six of these are currently under active exploitation. But here's the catch - Microsoft has yet to roll out updates for two vulnerabilities, which could potentially be exploited to stage downgrade attacks against the #Windows update architecture. 🚨 The vulnerabilities range across various categories, with nine deemed Critical and 80 Important. This is in addition to the 36 vulnerabilities that Microsoft addressed in its Edge browser in the previous month. 🌐 Among the zero-days, CVE-2024-38213 stands out. It enables attackers to bypass #SmartScreen protections, requiring an attacker to send a malicious file to a user and convince them to open it. 😮 The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has incorporated these flaws into its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog, mandating federal agencies to apply the fixes by September 3, 2024. 📅 Details: https://lnkd.in/gitEcgrC #Microsoft #Cybersecurity #ZeroDay #Vulnerabilities #Threatfeed #SecureBlink
