What a conference, what a group of people! The Carolinas Healthcare PR & Marketing Society annual conference was a blast and I’m sad to head back for a few reasons. First I had a great time presenting alongside Laila Waggoner and Lauren Minors as we spoke about Unique Value Propositions - and how they aren’t all that unique and are REALLY about the lived experiences of your audiences (inside and out). I had some great conversations with the packed hall who attended and look forward to continuing more. The week is bittersweet as I roll off the CHPRMS board. I want to thank the Board and the CHPRMS community for the grace and support they showed when I had to step away to help my parents through a healthcare crisis. It was a year ago that I was sleeping in an ICU instead of at the conference but I felt the love then and still do now as so many asked me how Dad was doing. CHPRMS is a strong and special community and I do not take it for granted. Excited to keep coming back for conferences and more as I have for the last decade or more!

Dean, so grateful to you, Lauren and Ben for first introducing me to this welcoming #CHPRMS community several years ago, and for the chance to meet, learn, share, connect, support and grow at this always-excellent conference. 💜

Always a joy to see and present with you and Laila! And I agree, this community is very special — people who truly care about healthcare and each other. Until next time!

Great presentation! Really enjoyed it.
