A company contacted us recently and asked us to find them a Senior Estimator for the Civil Infrastructure sector in Perth. ⤵ The projects they typically work on are sub $100M across various sectors. 🛣 🌊 They had been looking for someone for 6 months... Had used various recruiters, advertised the job on Seek to little or no success. 🛑 Our initial engagement included a 45 minute technical briefing on the role followed by a 15 minutes presentation based around the market conditions. Upon finishing the meeting the hiring managers both said "We're feeling a lot more positive about this than we have been with any other recruiters". Within 48 hours, we delved into our specialist estimating network, had a number of consultations and presented 1 candidate for their review. The candidate was interviewed within 24 hours, references were collected, an offer was made and accepted. Now... my question is this. How much money and time had been wasted over the past 6 months? 🤯 How many tender opportunities were missed? ⁉ How many opportunities to be front and centre of mind to their clients had been missed? How many hours of burn out has the team faced by being stretched too thin? 😐 Whilst it's not always practical.... But it can really pay to hire a specialist. ⤵ If you're looking for specialist advice around Estimating Recruitment, please feel free to get in touch. 📩 #ProofIsInTheProgress

You're facing a construction dispute - what do you do? One of the first and most crucial things to do is seek the assistance of a qualified professional who can investigate and analyse the costs and entitlements involved. A forensic quantity surveyor does just that, helping navigate the complexities of contract management and claims analysis. With the skills of a traditional quantity surveyor and the experience of a commercial contract manager manager, Accura's forensic quantity surveyors understand the significance of settling disputes and can assist you in evaluating the quantum of your claim or what entitlement is outside the legal realm. More than anything, it is vital to seek the services of a forensic quantity surveyor to help value claims and interpret the scope, specifications, and drawings. How have you worked with a forensic quantity surveyor? 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙚-𝙩𝙤-𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 In the fast-paced world of recruitment, we often rely on emails, calls, and video meetings to connect with clients. While these tools are undeniably useful, there’s something about sitting down face-to-face that no technology can replicate. When I meet clients in person, I gain a deeper understanding of their company culture, team dynamics, and the exact type of candidate they’re looking for. These conversations often go beyond the job description, revealing the nuances that make all the difference in finding the perfect match. For me, recruitment isn’t just about filling roles, it’s about building relationships. Face-to-face meetings foster trust and open dialogue, helping me better align with my clients' long-term vision. Plus, they give me the chance to share my expertise and offer tailored advice that’s harder to convey through a screen. In an industry where the right placement can transform a business and a career, these personal connections are invaluable. If you’re looking to discuss your recruitment needs or just want to chat about the current trends in the construction industry let’s grab a coffee and talk. For my candidate network, below is a list of some of the roles I'm recruiting for on the back of recent client meetings: x2 AQ Quantity Surveyor's | Edinburgh | c.£70k - £75k x3 Senior Quantity Surveyors | Edinburgh & Glasgow | c.£55k - £60k x2 Project Surveyors | Glasgow | c.£35k - £45k x1 SPM/AD PM | Edinburgh | c.£70k+ x5 PM/SPM's Infrastructure | Edinburgh & Glasgow | c.£50k - £65k ☎️ 0131 516 8908

***LIVE CANDIDATE LIST AVAILABLE*** Over the course of last week, I was mulling over what I could be doing better within my sector. I noticed that the Demolition, Groundworks & RC Frame sectors as a whole are very slow currently with little to no jobs available. However... Good people are hard to find at the best of times. Therefore, I have created a "Live Candidate List" spreadsheet that I will be updating every week of the top professionals that I am currently working alongside. These include Engineers, Foremen, Site Managers, Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Estimators and Health & Safety. If you are currently recruiting and want to see this spreadsheet, get in touch! 07903773657 / [email protected] #recruitment #livecandidates #recruiting #engineers #quantitysurveyors #construction #civils #groundworks #rcframes #demolition #sitemanagers #foreman #contractsmanagers #projectmanagers #estimators #healthandsafety
