I've always found highlight videos challenging - it's easy to pick the best shots from the day, a handful of people saying they had a great time and call it a day. But what does the viewer get out of that video, especially if they didn't attend the event? It's like saying, "here's a video of a party you didn't attend", or "here's the best bits of a holiday someone else went on". Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely essential to celebrate the win. You need video to show that the event was a success (after all it was), and even if a general audience isn't engaged enough to watch a entire video about it, the general impression they'll get from seeing exciting speakers and rooms full of people is massive for how they perceive you. But for me, it's more important that there's a message that the viewer can connect to. In this video, we: 1. Explain what the event is about 2. Establish that running a start-up business is challenging if you try to do everything by yourself 3. Provide a solution - engage with the experts 4. Highlight what's unique about the event: the experts are here, if you want your business to succeed, you need to be here too A good highlight video is the perfect way to close the book on an event. A great highlight video is the first page for the next one as well.

**A Day Full of Inspiration at the EDP Session!** I had the privilege of attending an Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) session that left me feeling incredibly motivated. As a first-year B.Tech student with a vision to start my own venture, this session opened my eyes to the real-world challenges and triumphs of entrepreneurship. Here are some key takeaways: 1. **VToys** – Pioneering a revolution in the toy industry with a focus on Indian craftsmanship and innovation. Their dedication to producing high-quality, homegrown toys is remarkable. 2. **Animation Product Design Startup** – Pushing the boundaries of creativity by specializing in animated project designs. Their innovative approach to design is reshaping how we view animation. 3. **Last Life** – Changing the landscape of eSports by organizing massive tournaments for titles like CK Free Fire and BGMI. When you build a company, it’s critical to have all the right players. Sports analogies are common in business, particularly about having the right players on the team. But one could also use a music analogy that might be more helpful for scientists. A great band has musicians with complimentary skills...for example a drummer, guitarist, bass player, and a singer. Rarely does one person excel at all the roles that are needed to make good music. If you are an awesome guitarist, you will need to find people who excel at other instruments to make a great band. Similarly, in business it’s very rare for one person to excel at all the roles needed to launch and operate a successful company. As an entrepreneur you may have several valuable skills, but to be successful you need to find partners, employees, contractors that compliment your skills to complete the group. If you are good at product development, find partners that are good at manufacturing, sales and finance. We all enjoy working with people who are like us, but companies founded by more than one talented scientist or engineer are usually not successful. We’ve seen this more than once from a university tech transfer effort where three scientists start a company based on a technology that they developed together. But this is like starting a band with three keyboard players. You may have fun, but you probably won’t make much money at it. As an entrepreneur it is therefore essential to be able to work with professionals who have skills that you do not have. This requires being able to trust others to do what they are good at, sometimes without knowing for sure if they are making the right choices. And when you trust the others in the group to do what they are good at, sometimes they will make mistakes. Remind yourself that you likely would make more mistakes, just like if you as the guitarist in a band tried to take over playing the drums. In a musical group, the best performances happen when a group of players with complimentary skills each focus on their own role and let the others in the group do what they do best.
