You may be one of the investors who has contributed to the tens of billions of dollars that have gone into the electric air taxi developers. With almost a thousand in development, hopefully you invested early in one of the handful of front runners that look certain to move into commercial operations. But even then, think back to the pitch decks promising flight on demand to new places to revolutionise aviation. The reality is that if all these aircraft use is existing infrastructure we will have an evolution but not a revolution. This is why we have seen an explosion in vertiport companies in the last year or so as everyone scrambles to get exposure to this side of the ecosystem.
