As I look back on my career so far, no denying I've had some epic leaders elevate me along the way. Beth Menezes Kari Stoltz Tammy Shimp Lou Salfi Nick Perea Andrew Johnston Sam Sorbo John 'Jack' Badavas Jeff Boes Luke Arno I could probably write a book with the individual pieces of advice they provided me, but if I had to pull out one consistent theme that they collectively drilled into my hippocampus, it would be: Be the CEO of your territory. Treat your individual set of accounts as if it was a small business, understand every segment, where your opportunities exist and what represents the biggest risk. Luckily, they didnt just tell me this, they showed me how use Salesforce proficiently (a miracle) how to think strategically about what I was doing vs just running into a brick wall & taught me the fundamentals of business acumen. Today we are rolling out many of those learnings in a programmatic way.
