HR Director Europe 🌍 Can be based near Reading (UK) or Rosenheim (nr Munich, Germany) Hybrid Working Permanent Opportunity We're looking for those who are: ✅ Strong HR Generalist ✅ Strong on Employment Law ✅ Exposed to European Workers Councils (don't need to be a lawyer!) ✅ Managed people in other countries and had responsibility for multiple countries ✅ Manufacturing or other Industrial Business experience ideal (not a deal breaker) ✅ Supported Senior Stakeholders as their Business Partner (if we could be choosy, in a variety of functions, Engineering, R&D, Product Dev, Commercial etc.) If you've only ever worked in Corporate Functions, this role won't be for you. ✅ Are the person who gets asked to 'go and fix this' or can you help with that. i.e. you're probably doing projects on the side of your desk or get seconded into things a lot. (If so we definitely want to hear from you). ✅ Ideally you've lived and worked abroad and been exposed to a variety of cultures. Having joined Advertisingsaga on March 4th, 2024, I've now completed seven months as the sole HR Manager working remotely. Reflecting on this experience, I'm amazed at what I've accomplished and learnt. It's been a challenging yet incredibly rewarding experience, filled with invaluable lessons and opportunities for growth. "Key takeaways from my first seven months" :- ✨Building a Remote HR Infrastructure: One of my primary tasks has been to establish a robust HR infrastructure from scratch. This involved creating policies, procedures, and systems to support a remote workforce. From onboarding new hires to managing performance reviews and benefits and doing their payroll processing, I've had to adapt to a virtual environment and ensure that our HR processes are efficient and effective. ✨Cultivating a Strong Company Culture: Despite the physical distance, I've worked tirelessly to foster a positive and inclusive company culture, encouraging an open communication to build a sense of community and belonging among our employees. ✨Developing Employee Engagement Strategies: I've been actively exploring ways to keep our remote team engaged and motivated. This includes implementing flexible work arrangements, recognition programs, and professional development opportunities. By doing so, I hope to create a positive and supportive work environment. ✨Navigating HR Challenges in a Remote Setting: Managing HR functions remotely has presented unique challenges, such as addressing technical difficulties, providing adequate support to employees who may be facing personal challenges and a lot more. I've had to be adaptable and resourceful in overcoming these obstacles. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to Advertisingsaga's growth and success over the past seven months. The company's commitment to innovation, teamwork, and employee well-being has made this experience truly fulfilling. As I look forward to the year ahead, I'm excited to continue building upon the foundation I've laid and contributing to the company's continued success.
