THAT WE PLAY DOES NOT MEAN WE DON'T HAVE PAIN: WHEN WE ARE DOWN, WE REMEMBER GOD IS UP By Masterpiece David Olawade* In a world where appearances can be deceiving, we often find ourselves cloaked in vibrant attire, smiling for the cameras, yet beneath the surface lies a narrative of resilience woven with threads of struggle and strength. Each snapshot we share may seem like a glimpse into our lives, but it only captures fragments of who we truly are and the roads we've traveled. Friends, the essence of our journey is defined not by the circumstances we face, but by our responses to them. Life may throw challenges our way, but those hurdles that seem insurmountable often retreat when confronted with our unwavering spirit. Even when our pockets feel barren, our minds remain rich with thoughts, insights, and ideas—treasures that no amount of money can buy. Like everyone else, we experience pain; it is a universal truth. Yet, we choose to transform that pain into moments of play. In the solitude of our closets, tears may fall, but in public, we wear our joy like a shield. We have resolved not to let our struggles eclipse our happiness. Our joy is rooted not in the happenings around us, but in the decisions we make every single day. There are times when the world around us doesn’t align with our desires, but we’ve made a pact with ourselves: to embody the change we wish to see, regardless of our circumstances. When the temptation to give up looms large, we draw strength from the knowledge that God is always present—above us and within us—providing the fortitude we need to persevere. Our lives are like accounts filled with divine deposits meant for others to withdraw from. We are acutely aware of this, which is why we strive to be accessible, reaching out to every soul we encounter. When others see us, they don’t just see individuals; they see answers to their prayers, solutions to their problems, healing for their wounds, and a glimmer of hope in their darkest hours. We refuse to mislead those around us, pretending that our successes and resources are solely for our benefit. Instead, we embrace the mission of uplifting humanity. When we conquer mountains, we lift others with us. When we reach new heights, we extend our hands, offering our expertise as a lifeline for those still climbing. In this journey, there’s no room for competition. Our focus is on competence, complementing one another rather than competing. We recognize that our existence is a privilege, one that could have easily been bestowed upon someone else. Our greatest honor lies in helping others realize their potential. We are wired to love unconditionally—not based on the actions of others, but through our choices. We choose love over hate, friendship over enmity, patience over despair, smiles over tears, and celebration over jealousy. That’s the rhythm of our lives. Let’s build together, and make the world better. I’m interested in your process, wins, and milestones.❤️🫶🏽💫

🌹 I recently came across a quote that resonated deeply: "Just because you wear grief (or whatever it is) well, doesn’t mean it’s not painful." 🌹 Life constantly throws challenges our way, but we face them with joy, knowing that God is for us, and in Him, we are overcomers. —————— 👉The focus is competence and collaboration over competition! Love, love, love! Well said David Olawade (BSc., MPH, FRSPH, FHEA)
