I’m very excited to be part of the 4th cohort of Zach Wilson's Data Engineering bootcamp (https://dataexpert.io/). Why is dimensional data modeling important?  As per my experience, the correct data model is key in ensuring easy understanding and ingestion by the consumer it's meant for. Starting a Journey in Data Science: A Shift in Perspective In today’s world, where information is easily accessible, I believe that when delving into a new field like data science, the priority shouldn’t be how to do it (learning programming or related technical skills). Instead, the focus should first be on understanding what to do and why. I've been diving deep into Data Engineering concepts, and after years as an Analytics Engineer, Zach Wilson's Free Bootcamp has been the perfect adventure for me! I We're into week 4 now, and even though I'm a tad behind, I've picked up some awesome insights on Table Design in weeks 1 and 2, and I'm currently tackling Spark Fundamentals in week 3. One concept I'm super excited about: Cumulative Table Design It's all about creating a table that keeps historical aggregates by smartly merging yesterday's data with today's fresh stuff. Imagine this: stats for ALL of Michael Jordan's NBA seasons in one row! The best part? This design is incredibly efficient because the aggregations are done daily. Now, analysts like us can pull insights from this table without the headache of slow or timed-out queries when processing historical data. Shoutout to Zach for this amazing learning opportunity! 🌟 Two Months into Data Science Bootcamp! 🌟 I am excited to share my journey at the Data Science Bootcamp with Digital Skola as I wrap up Week 9! 🚀 Here’s what I’ve been working on: 🔹 Regression Models: Gained hands-on experience with regression techniques like linear, polynomial, lasso, ridge, and tree-based regression, while exploring key evaluation metrics for model performance. 🔹Basic Model Deployment: Built foundational skills in model deployment, covering APIs and REST APIs, and practiced with tools like Postman and Ngrok. 🔹 Maestro Project: Developed a house price prediction model using an SVR algorithm to achieve the highest R-squared accuracy based on selected features.
