Reflecting on an Inspiring Day at the Digital Tech Summit in Copenhagen! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion on “Responsible & Cool AI in Maritime Startup & Corporate” at the Maritime Innovation Zone during the Digital Tech Summit in Copenhagen. The discussion cantered around the transformative potential of AI in the maritime industry, addressing both the exciting opportunities and the complex challenges we face. We explored critical questions such as: What are the most evident areas where AI can optimize ship operations? Which challenges are typically the most endearing when applying and scaling AI solutions in our industry? What are the coolest and most responsible AI applications currently being used in maritime startups and corporates? I am grateful for the chance to engage with such knowledgeable and passionate individuals on stage. A big thank you to the organizers (Hanne Breddam and Magnus Gary) and my fellow panellist (Asger Christian Schliemann Haug) for making this event a memorable experience. Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming governments and public sectors worldwide, and tech companies are racing to develop the most advanced government AI systems at speed, scale, and capabilities that governments cannot keep up with. Over the past year, France/Paris-based Mistral AI has rapidly risen as a homegrown European AI champion. In June 2024, Mistral said it had raised $645 million in a funding round backed by venture capitalists like General Catalyst that reportedly values the company at more than $6 billion. Back home from the Data Innovation Summit 2024 in Stockholm, and I'm still processing all the incredible conversations and learning 🤯. A big thank you to the team at Hyperight AB for organizing such a inspiring event 🙌. It was great to reconnect with old colleagues and to meet new professionals who are also navigating the challenges of making AI practical and valuable in real-world applications 🌍. We shared stories about our journeys towards making AI not just advanced, but also adoptable and useful. What a journey it has been.   ✨ Five years of secret research at the LIG - Laboratoire d'Informatique de Grenoble at Université Grenoble Alpes laid the foundation for what Xpdeep has become today. ⚡ Our first year was dedicated to turning our lab tech into an industrial scalable solution while augmenting it with several innovations in AI. Xpdeep self-explainable deep learning framework is the first framework that can generate deep models that contain their own explanations. It lets data science teams and business users optimize deep models along 3 key objectives : 1. Higher performance, 2. Lower complexity, 3. Smooth deployment and integration into the real world.   🤸♀️ Today, our vibrant team has grown to over 15 members. We boast a dynamic commercial team and a robust development crew.
