Solar + batteries = true energy independence Gas generators = fossil fuel dependency We install solar for sustainability, not just backup. Rooftop solar is the future, not a fallback. Solar reliability trumps gas generators: -No fuel shortages or price spikes -Minimal maintenance -Always ready when you need it (not always the case with gas generators) The climate crisis demands action. Sunrun has connected over 16,200 customers' solar + storage systems to support California's electrical grid during the hot summer months. Their CalReady power plant alleviates grid strain by supplying critical energy to communities in need, reducing costs and preventing power emergencies. For the second consecutive year, Sunrun's solar + storage systems have proven to be a reliable grid solution. In 2023, Sunrun's Peak Power Rewards program provided up to 32 MW of power to PG&E from 8,500 customers' batteries during peak hours. This summer, they aim to double that capacity and participant number for the statewide Demand Side Grid Support program.
