A big Port Saint John welcome to G2 Ocean returning again to our Port. The return of breakbulk wood pulp to Saint John has been a multi-year strategy with DP World/Shawn McMahon and a number of other stakeholders involved including our rail partners (CPKC, CN, CSX and NBM Railways) and local trucking firms. The reoccurring appearance of these types of vessels in our port represents: 1. A more efficient supply chain between Brazil and Canada that will lower the total transportation costs to the consumers of the wood pulp. 2. Flexibility for Canadian and American exporters who would prefer moving products in bulk or breakbulk rather than containers. 3. More hours for Saint John labour on our waterfront and therefore more dollars in the pockets of workers who invest their income back into the region. The revitalized Port Saint John continues to prove we’re a multi-solution supply chain port that can effectively move: containers, bulk, breakbulk and project cargo!

In case you missed it: Gov. Ron DeSantis announced $2.6 million in funding toward a JAXPORT project to increase storage and rail access for aggregate materials on port property. Aggregates—such as gravel, stone, and sand—are materials used in construction and roadway projects and are also a type of cargo that moves through JAXPORT. State support for aggregates ensures JAXPORT can help meet the growing transportation needs of Florida consumers and businesses for decades to come. Thank you, Gov. As part of our commitment to boosting distribution capabilities and improving operational efficiency, Nadeau Insulation has recently completed a significant move. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, we successfully transitioned to a brand-new 150,000-square-foot facility in Montreal, including 50,000 square feet of outdoor storage space. This new logistics center is designed to strengthen our operations, set the stage for even better service across Eastern Canada and support our future ambitions. Accelerating Operations with State-of-the-Art Features The new facility includes nine dock doors—three more than the previous location—ensuring a much faster loading and unloading process. This upgrade is crucial for streamlining our receiving and delivery operations, helping us respond more quickly to customer needs. With this expansion, the Montreal branch will now be even better equipped to serve as a key distribution hub and for local customers: Impro (Ontario), Nadeau (Montreal and Quebec City) and Scotia branches (Atlantic provinces). Exciting News! The Port of Baltimore's six public terminals have experienced significant growth over the past 25 years. According to Maryland Port Administration data, container tons have surged since 1998, automotive cargo has increased by 196%, and roll on/roll off cargo (including farm and construction machinery) has seen a growth of more than 113%. These figures showcase the thriving nature of the Port's operations and its vital role in facilitating various types of cargo. Today I had the pleasure of doing the tour of the port of Long Beach. It was truly enlightening to witness the operations firsthand. Here are some fascinating facts I learned during the visit: - Long Beach is the 9th largest port in the world. - The construction of the San Pedro breakwater took 50 years to complete. - At the LBCT terminal, containers can be loaded and unloaded within just 30 minutes.This port prides itself on being the cleanest terminal globally, boasting 90 % to net zero global emissions. - The Cemex (cement) terminal, which closed in 2009 due to the recession, was successfully reopened in 2018. - The SSA terminal in Long Beach is affectionately known as the "Happy Terminal" as it serves routes to Hawaii via Matson. Exploring the Port of Long Beach was an eye-opening experience, shedding light on the immense scale and intricate operations of one of the world's leading ports. Port NOLA's investments, including new container cranes and the upcoming Louisiana International Terminal (LIT), are driving record growth in container volumes. During the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, loaded imports and exports increased significantly. The port's strategic alignment with the New Orleans Public Belt (NOPB) uniquely positions it as the only U.S. city with deep-draft shipping directly connected to a rail gateway serving six major railroads. Key import commodities include coffee and chemicals, while top exports include plastics and paper. The port's container-on-barge service, set to expand with LIT, is reducing emissions and enhancing trade connectivity. LIT, funded by federal, state, and private investments, will incorporate green technologies and begin construction next year, with the first berth opening in 2028. Additionally, Port NOLA received federal funding to reduce truck emissions and support workforce development initiatives.
