Accounting for Participatory Investment Pools: The Case Studies of Islamic Export Refinancing Scheme in Pakistan This booklet has three connected case studies, which demonstrate an overall framework for recognising, measurement, recording, summarising, and analysing the valuable accounting information for pool management by the Islamic financial institutions. It takes the scenario from the Islamic export refinance scheme, that has been introduced by the State Bank of Pakistan to support exports and has been managed through musharakah by the Islamic banks. Based on hypothetical numbers, more than 15 accounting procedures are raised and then answered in the associated teaching and training notes.
