Are you feeling the 'Groundhog Day' effect? ⏰️ Stuck in a bit of a cycle, or rut? Do you live for the weekends and holidays? ⛱️ Do you only feel happy when the sun is shining? 🌞 Are you generally low in motivation and often wonder what the point of everything is? 🤔 Ok, I'll stop with the cheesy questions now... 🧀 It's only because I get it. I'm there...often...in that mindset, so I truly understand how this makes other people feel and how it impacts on our mental health and wellbeing. Let me explain 💡 My days are repetitive, as I constantly mishear information or feel left out in social situations (therefore isolated). I navigate through my day trying so hard to differentiate between sounds that do exist (what sounds are they, and where are they coming from?), and sounds that don't exist (having tinnitus means that some sounds I hear are not real like ringing and whirring, so you can imagine the confusion! 🤪) Do I want sympathy? Nope! Empathy is the word; asking is always more effective than assuming 🤜🤛 My suggestions to lose the repetitive lifestyle? So glad you asked! Here you go... 🤯 Lose the routine every so often (for work/school mornings and bedtimes then routines are crucial for success, but...this weekend maybe just lose that strict attitude and chill it down a notch ⬇️ 🤯 Set a day aside for you and the other half, one of your kids, a friend/family member or just...you! Plan a whole day of absolute fun from start to finish! 🤯 Mash up the week, focusing more on Monday to Wednesday, less on weekends 🤯 Book day trips/overnight getaways and weekends scattered throughout the year (yep, the cold months too), to prevent the painful build up to that summer holiday 🏖 🤯 Plan a different January - make it something to look forward to each year, rather than the month we dread! 🤯 Lose the 'right age' stigma and consider the 'right stage' new you! What's the plan? 💡 Looking to book insightful training sessions for your workplace? 💡 All sessions are one hour, or a combination of sessions can be blended and delivered for two hours or half a day, either in the day, evening or weekend, online or in person at your workplace! Here are the sessions, but if you would like further details on session outcomes, please see contact details further down: 💡Transform, Adapt and Evolve as Leaders 💡The Art of Detachment 💡Unravel Your Rivalry 💡The Science of Communication 💡Sound in the Workplace 💡Inclusion 💡Mental Health and Wellbeing 💡The First Arrow Always Hits 💡Mindful vs Mind Full 💡Mental Diet 💡Abuse (domestic; mental and physical) 💡Suicide Awareness 💡The Science of Sound 💡Loneliness and Isolation 💡Hearing Loss and Tinnitus 💡Mindset Detox 💡Talk the Talk (I have lived/living experiences of all the above topics, so the delivery is extremely authentic, passionate and powerful) For more information, please contact me at: [email protected], or text/WhatsApp: 07447 294832 💙

This week, RisE (Resilience Is Essential) Employee Resource Group hosted its annual Navigating Stress During the Holidays session. It's a time for colleagues to share tips for staying centered and maintaining well-being during what can be a hectic season. I feel fortunate to work for an employer that supports ERGs like RisE, whose mission is to destigmatize talking about mental health. As the holidays approach, I’m reminded of how important it is to pause and prioritize our mental well-being. Here are three tips shared during the session to help reduce stress and stay centered: 1. Set boundaries: Protect your time and energy by clearly defining what you can commit to personally and professionally. 2. Practice mindfulness: Incorporate short breathing exercises or meditation breaks into your day to reset and refocus. 3. Prioritize self-care: Make time for activities that bring you joy, whether that's connecting with loved ones, watching cat videos, engaging in a hobby, taking a walk in nature, or simply resting. To everyone reading this: Take care of yourselves during this busy season; remember that it’s okay to take time for yourself or ask for help when you need it. How do you manage holiday stress? I’d love to hear your tips in the comments below. #RegeneronProud #TisTheSeason #Selfcare #ResilienceIsEssential #Wellbeing

'Dont Hesitate to Satisfy Your Needs ' As human beings, we all have basic needs that must be met in order to maintain a healthy and happy life. However, many of us hesitate to satisfy our needs, either due to fear of judgment or a belief that our needs are not important. Psychologically speaking, suppressing our needs can lead to a range of negative outcomes, including anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. It is important to recognize that fulfilling our needs is not selfish or indulgent, but rather a necessary part of self-care. Whether it is getting enough sleep, seeking social support, or pursuing a hobby, taking the time to satisfy our needs can lead to increased feelings of fulfillment and overall wellbeing. So, don't hesitate to prioritize your own needs and take the necessary steps to fulfill them. #selfcare #satisfyyourneeds #wellbeing #worklifebalance #mindset

Do you think you're having enough fun at work? Research suggests taking time to notice the little things can benefit both physical and mental health. So, how can we find joy in the ordinary and everyday working moments? Happiful describes 'Microjoys' as '...those small pockets of joy found within the everyday and ordinary aspects of life, often overlooked or taken for granted. This could be your first cup of tea in the morning, an unexpected smile from a stranger, or the satisfaction of crossing off an item on your to-do list. They may seem insignificant, but individually, they have the power to uplift our mood significantly.' This isn't about ignoring our challenges or problems - it's about being present in moments of joy, no matter how small or fleeting they may seem. So, how can we practise finding joy in everyday moments? Find out more in Happiful's recent article 'What are microjoys and how can they help us feel more positive?'... https://lnkd.in/dxz_Vy8A

Here is how i went from Self-Neglect to self care 👇 For the longest time, I placed myself at the bottom of my priority list, dedicating my energy to supporting loved ones and friends in need. The thought of prioritizing my needs felt selfish, as if caring about my own desires was a form of self-absorption. But through this journey, I've learned some invaluable lessons about the essence of self-care and setting boundaries Here is it 👇 - Self-Love is Not Selfish: Prioritizing your well-being isn't selfish; it's necessary. You cannot pour from an empty cup. To genuinely support others, you must first ensure that you are taken care of. - The Necessity of "Me Time" for Mental Health: Allocating time for oneself isn't a luxury, it's crucial for maintaining mental health. It's the quiet space where we can recharge, reflect, and nurture our inner peace. - The Courage to Ask for Help. It's a sign of strength, not weakness. By asking for help, we not only unburden ourselves but also empower others to contribute and feel valued. - Allowing Others to Give: By taking care of ourselves and sometimes stepping back, we enable others to experience the joy and fulfillment that comes from giving. - The Importance of Hobbies: Dedicating time to develop hobbies isn't frivolous, it's essential for discovering passions and talents that enrich our lives beyond the professional sphere. - Setting Boundaries is Crucial: Learning to say "no" when we feel like it, and not overcommitting, is key to maintaining our integrity, energy, and sanity. This journey has taught me that self-care and setting healthy boundaries are not just about saying yes to ourselves but also about ensuring we can continue to be there for those we care about in a more meaningful and sustainable way. Let's embrace the practice of self-care and recognize it as the foundation upon which we can build stronger, more empathetic connections with others. Let’s find the necessary balance wether at work or in personal life - to an improved harmonious fulfilled life that you love!! Ready to ditch self-Neglect?
