(This is not a bad buzz lightyear pun, but a heartfelt message)📣📣📣📣 🤷🏻♂️As I reflect at the end of a weekend spent with the family, following a terrible week professionally, I have a profound sense of wanting to “do what I can”. Unfortunately on Wednesday 4th December, the company that I and over 200 colleagues work for, Stenn, went into administration. This was a very swift process that to the staff only started on Monday 2nd December. 😕But what is left behind, are really good people wondering whether they will be paid for December and where their next job will come from. 2️⃣Unfortunately this isn’t the first time in my career this has happened and whilst the circumstances in this instance are different, the feeling is the same. That feeling is of course personal concern, but also an overriding feeling of worry for my colleagues, who bare no responsibility for the company’s demise. 🇨🇳🇮🇳🇬🇧🇪🇸🇺🇸At Stenn, across China, India, London, Barcelona and the US there are fantastic people. People across ✔️Sales ✔️Rev Ops ✔️Enablement ✔️Marketing ✔️Operations ✔️Finance ✔️HR/People ✔️legal, ✔️engineers, ✔️product, ✔️credit risk, ✔️compliance ✔️customer support ⚠️Each person took the risk of joining a scaling FinTech company. They each have the ambition, drive and attitude that not only attracted them to Stenn, but also for Stenn to hire them.
