In celebration of innovation and sparking creativity amongst our fellow Arvatorians, we recently hosted our very first Arvato Systems Malaysia AI Hackathon Day which saw 3 teams (Team AI Caramba!, Team ArvI - Arvato Intelligence, and Team AI Stars) bring their best AI pitch ideas before a panel of judges who each provided them with constructive criticism to further fortify their ideas. The session was designed to allow participants to gain practical hands-on experience with AI tools and technologies while fostering a culture of continuous innovation and experimentation. It was also an opportunity to increase cross-functional collaborations between colleagues from different business units. It was inspiring to see the hackathon teams tackle the challenge of boosting our support team functions' productivity via ASM Care with such diverse approaches. One team is using a classic random forest model for classification, while others are leveraging large language models (LLMs) alongside technique like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). The creativity and innovation on display are truly remarkable. It was a close race to the end and Team AI Caramba! emerged as the champions for this round of the ASM AI Hackathon. Meanwhile, Team ArvI (Arvato Intelligence) took 2nd place and Team AI Stars had a very close third place finish. It was certainly an excellent effort from all teams who participated and we would like to thank all for their creative ideas and pitches. We would also like to take this time to extend our appreciation to Matthias Bartels, Lukas Deymann, Martin Weitzel, Juergen Mollen, Dr. Ricardo Ramos Gameiro, and our very own Tze Weng Ng for their time invested in being our panel of judges for this edition of the AI Hackathon, and for the valuable contributions provided to each team member. As we continue to foster creativity and innovation amongst our talents, we hope to empower them on their journey towards becoming digital leaders.
