To get promoted, someone else must be ready to fill your current role. A scarcity mindset, driven by fear of loss, leads people to hold onto knowledge and avoid sharing tasks, thinking this keeps them secure. However, this limits growth - growth of the company, growth of the person. Being promotable means you’ve trained others and built systems for success without you. When you make yourself “replaceable” by empowering your team, you show real leadership. If no one can take over your job, you stay stuck and the company will need to externally hire your future manager. Promotability is about helping others grow, not just holding onto your spot.

The quiet achievers who get left behind I've seen it across industries, from small to global corporations: The quiet ones. The ones who consistently deliver, who go above and beyond, who quietly drive results. But they don't shout about their wins. They don't play the politics. They don't crave the spotlight. And often, they get overlooked. Passed over for promotions. Denied the recognition they deserve. While the loudest voices, the ones who self-promote and schmooze, seem to reap the rewards. It's a frustrating reality. It's time to shine a light on the quiet achievers. The ones who let their work speak for itself. The ones who build, not boast. The ones who truly make a difference. --- Share your thoughts and repost ♻️

What are some of the transferable skills from athletics that I see in my day to day? As a former student-athlete I was so concerned that I didn’t have enough experience to get a job. As I progress in this role I am starting to see those skills show up in my day to day. One that I find most prominent is resiliency. In this role I’ve learned things don’t always go your way. In fact there’s probably more you can’t control than what you can. What’s important is the way you respond to those hardships. As athletes we are hardwired to keep going no matter what the score is, who the other team is, or who’s projected to win. There will be times where plays don’t go your way or maybe you have to scratch the game plan completely but we’re able to strategize quickly and stay in the game. I see the same thing at work. Maybe a meeting falls through and you might not hit your target for that week. It’s the way you respond to these situations. Thats what makes a high performer!

✨Is your lack of confidence stumping your career growth?✨ When you over emphasise what you don’t have, it will overshadow what you do have and what you could be capable to doing. Start showing what you’re capable by: ✅Showcasing your achievements ✅Demonstrating your positive characteristics which will attract promotions and job opportunities ✅Sharing your opinions and though leadership in your area of expertise If not you, then who? If not now, then when?

5 early signs of potential high achievers: 1. They work in jobs they hate 2. They doubt they can achieve big 3. They can’t stick with anything for long 4. They avoid new things & expect failure 5. And they’re too lazy to even do laundry The only difference between you and a successful person is that they REALLY tried….. eventually. And, so can YOU.

"Just be patient, the promotion is coming." Ever have that carrot dangled in front of you? 🙄 Maybe you're comfortable. Hitting your numbers. Supportive manager. Love your team. But comfort isn't always good. I hear this all the time: "I have all these good things.. I should be grateful!" Let’s call a spade a spade though.. We often use gratitude as an excuse to avoid walking away. If this sounds like you, I challenge you to see it differently👇🏻 What if you could have everything on that list AND the growth you deserve? What if in a couple of months you could have: Amazing team culture The title you deserve Strong leadership Exciting product Great clients AND A boost in OTE The lesson? Don't mistake comfort for fulfillment. Your career growth shouldn't feel like chasing a carrot that keeps moving further away. Speaking up is step one. Knowing when to walk away is just as important. Have you ever stayed too long in a "good enough" role? What made you finally leave? 🤔 __ #customersuccess #jobsearchadvice #careergrowth

There are many important choices to make in life. In the working world, choosing the right boss can make or break your career. Even as a 12 year veteran in Real Estate and being a Division Leader myself, I need mentorship. The guy beside me is my mentor Alex. When I said I want to take a picture with him, he didn’t allow me to just simply selfie it. He whipped out his phone, went ahead and find someone who’s skilled enough to take this picture and remembered to send it to me. Many leaders miss out the details. Most think these are lowly things to do, but Alex while displaying a chill attitude most times - takes care of the details very well. Someone great once said details determine destiny. There’s a reason why Alex is wearing a “Top Division” sash which is only bestowed to the Top performing division leader in ERA. Alex Lim #ServantLeaderhship #Mentorship #RealEstate #BeyondSales

KNOW YOUR WORTH: STAND FIRM AGAINST UNDERVALUATION Your response was absolutely spot-on! You stood your ground with professionalism and clarity, making it clear that your worth is non-negotiable. Turning down that offer was a powerful move, showing that you know your value and won’t settle for less. It’s crucial to recognize when someone is trying to undermine your worth, and you handled it perfectly by not allowing their tactics to dictate your confidence. This is exactly the kind of mindset everyone should adopt—never undervalue yourself, because when you know your worth, you command respect, and the right opportunities will follow. Well done!

I remember in 2022, there was one opportunity who made an offer to me that I soon realized that they were really trying to low ball me by saying that there were other people on the team who would be upset if they found out what I was making. I politely stated that if the other team members have what I have, then there shouldn’t be a reason to be upset right? I later decided to turn down the position anyway. The bottomline is to NEVER undervalue yourself under no circumstance.
