As we head into the festive period, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish all my contacts a Merry Xmas. I'm sure a number of you are already aware but 2024 will be my last year with Shawbrook as I look to progress opportunities outside the bank taking up a new role in January. I began my Shawbrook career in the middle of an unexpected second lockdown in January 2021 and had the challenging job of trying to grow the brand in the regional market from my back bedroom in Holmes Chapel. Despite this, and with the help of my hugely talented team Joseph S. Nathan Burn Matt Greenhalgh we managed to gain significant traction in the market in a short period of time. 4 years later the back bedroom is now occupied by a happy, healthy 2-year-old following his early introduction to the world at 26 weeks with me being demoted to the kitchen table (I wouldn't have it any other way). In this time, we have managed to deliver a staggering c £300m of facilities out of the North West team helping 42 business with structured facilities to aid succession planning and drive growth. None of this would've been possible without my introduction network or customers and I would like to thank everyone in this regard for putting your trust in both me and Shawbrook to deliver such an outstanding set of results. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Shawbrook for giving me the support and tools to be able to deliver these results. There are far too many people to thank individually but I have made some friends for life, and I wish everyone all the best for 2025 and beyond. I leave you with a picture of my overworked elf who is looking forward to his post Xmas break. Catch up with you all in 2025. Over and out.
Well said Dan. You should be extremely proud of what you’ve built in the northwest. The team won’t be the same without you, but we’ll aspire to build on the excellent foundations you’ve left us to take the business to the next level. Best of luck in the new role, I know you’ll smash it. 💥
All the best mate. It was a pleasure working with you for those four years - what a team! Enjoy the time with the family over Christmas and I look forward to seeing you start the next exciting step in your career. I've no doubt you'll be a roaring success
What you and the team delivered in the North West, in such a short period of time, was truly outstanding. I have no doubt you will go on to even greater things in the coming months and years. In the meantime, have a great Christmas and New Year with the little man who after a challenging start is looking a picture of Elf!
No DNA test required - he’s your baby double! 😂 All the best to you and the family over Xmas! 👍
Good luck mate. Really enjoyed working with you. You are a total legend so I have no doubt you will absolutely smash the next opportunity, whatever it is.
