I met Liliana in college as she was getting started, what an amazing journey! The outline she described highlighting the transferable skills from education to Ed tech is a great example for many that sometimes have a hard time defining that for themselves. As an HR professional I appreciate that. In the end leaders can’t accomplish anything without those they lead, our teams carry the vision but not just one person’s vision but a vision that includes input from their teams that makes that vision a reality. Some great takeaways from Diego. The 4th is such a game-changer for peak performance:
-Micromanaging often stems from fear and the need for perfection, but delegating tasks is crucial. This not only supports the development of team members but also creates opportunities for both the manager and the team to grow.
-Building an environment where it's acceptable not to deliver perfect results initially allows the manager to step in and coach, helping the team improve and achieve higher performance.
-No one is great at something the first time. We must provide opportunities for improvement.
-Maintaining work-life balance is essential in high-pressure environments, also sharing stories and insecurities with friends or family can help prevent burnout.
-Stress is not bad; it is all about how we manage the stress.
