G'day from Australia where the weather is similar today. It is not ,however, to talk about the weather that I Posted these words. I wondered how many of us realized that we are,in fact, not living for ourselves but is for others.Is it to be liked? to be the popular one ? or just to be accepted? Are we in fact living to please others and not to please ourselves.? When we continually do this eventually Our Bodies will start to rebel. It realizes this is not you speaking? Why are you doing this? This is very often acompanied by feelings of anxiety stress or really bad depression. One of the most difficult things to do today as men, is to make time for ourselves. Everyday we make decisions based on our family's wellbeing, our kids, our career, and somehow our health (mental, physical, spiritual) takes the backseat and we watch it dwindle in the rearview mirror. Why is that? It is because we do not value our health like we do all the other things amongst our daily tasks. Argue what you will, but when was the last time you went out for a hike in the mountains, a swim in the ocean, or a bike ride by yourself, and just yourself? I know what you are thinking. How does he know I haven't? Because I was that guy until I started making my health a priority. When things seem to be falling down all around you, guess what happened? You let things go and forgot about yourself. Now you have lower back pain, no time to get well, and have to take the dog for a walk every night after the kids go to bed. The top 3 things that we neglect: (1) Our physical and mental health (2) Our ability to be present for spouses and kids (3) Our friendships/relationships Time to get back on track.
