And in a #CyberAttack scenario, it is likely that all cabling will need to be disconnected from active devices to isolate systems from the internet. As simple as 1, 2, 3 #RapidID has been developed in conjunction with Panduit's range of pre-labeled patch cords. This allows users to order and receive labeled cables to populate cabinets without the need to add labels during installation, saving time and taking the labeling process out of the field. The installer simply reads the RapidID labels using Panduit's Bluetooth-enabled handheld scanner, which is wirelessly connected to the RapidID application. The application provides documentation of all patch cord locations in the patch panel as well as validation of previously stored patch cord locations and finally matches both ends of the patch cord to create a patch cord mapping that is easy to use and report. The software is designed for Windows, iOS and Android platforms.
