👾 LockBit bungles attempt to rebrand as DarkVault 👾 LockBit's attempt to rebrand as DarkVault hit a snag when security researcher Dominic Alvieri spotted unmistakable similarities between the two entities' designs. Despite efforts to conceal these flaws, DarkVault's emergence revealed a troubling continuation of LockBit's illicit activities. DarkVault's facade as a community dedicated to technology and security belies its true nature. Founders 'Neroces' and 'criminaldo' hint at a range of illegal services. Particularly concerning are the BlackHat Services advertised on the site, which offer a catalogue of criminal activities for profit. The rise of DarkVault coincides with tensions in the ransomware landscape, where groups like LockBit and ALPHV vie for dominance.
